With Keenan going down, hopefully an unknown like Jeremy Kimbrough can become our next Antonio Pierce. The Jenkins suspension blows my mind though.

There is alot of funny stuff in suplements, and the FDA does not regulate them. It's kinda stupid at this point to blame it on your supplements.

Re: Redskins Training Camp Thread wk 1
Are you kidding me? Two DL starters down within the first two days of TC? We have to shake the FA tree at this point. No other option.
It's time for our FO to start cutting individuals that test positive. This has become a trend for this team and we rank near the top in players suspended for failed tests.

The signing of Merling and Brace is looking really good now.

I think we should trade our 2nd & 3rd picks next year for Jason Taylor.
Sorry ... having a Vinny redux moment. Chill ... all will be well. We are just giving the other teams a headstart so our SB Championship run looks more impressive.

Been wondering the same for a long time. He really showed some impressive skills. If there's even a chance of it, he should start practicing inside now and learn from Fletcher.

At least we have options. But it's still disappointing. Cofield at DE could be interesting if one of the big guys can handle NT. At least we know to prepare for it.

Stunned that we are losing Jenkins as well, and if it is for something stupid like painkillers then that's pretty dumb. RobJax is being suspended for his use of painkillers. These guys can get a script for those things without any problem. Could we see both Baker and Nield kept at the beginning of the year with the plan of moving our best NT to DE in Cofield for the first four games?

Re: Redskins Training Camp Thread wk 1
I don't see the hits to AC, Robinson and Jenkins as big deals. The FO had to of know AC was a long shot to return. He's long in the tooth and it was a flat nasty injury. Robinson was nowhere near ready to backup Fletcher, let alone start. He showed almost nothing last year and already had bad injury history. Our FO may well have written him off already. We'll bring in a solid FA to backup Fletch this season and look to a long term solution after this season, though I think Rob Jackson is still interesting to look at there.
Jenkins is a disappointment but we have options with Cofield moving over and Baker or the other big guy playing NT those first four games. Or Jenkins may even get to appeal, who knows.

Jenkins, Jordan Black last season, are cases like these really a case of innocent "over the counter" or even "off the shelf" medicines tripping the NFLs drug tests? Or is that more likely an excuse a player uses when caught knowingly taking something against NFL rules? |

What do you mean by that? Unless he is still on the team?
