Re: Playoff game at home
You asked about play-offs.
Here it is, in a nutshell: Once Chicago beat Atlanta on Sunday night, Washington’s playoff possibilities became amazingly simple: If the Redskins defeat the Giants on Saturday and beat Philadelphia on New Year’s Day, Washington will make the playoffs. If the Redskins win out and the Giants lose their season finale at Oakland also, Washington will win the NFC East. If the Redskins win out and Tampa Bay, the Giants, Carolina and Chicago all lose their final two games, Washington will not only win the NFC East — it will have a first-round bye. If the Redskins defeat the Giants and Dallas loses to Carolina, Atlanta loses to Tampa Bay and Minnesota loses to Baltimore, Washington will qualify for the postseason this weekend. Even if they lose to the Giants, the Skins are not eliminated from the postseason. Simple, Huh!

Re: Playoff game at home
Whoever wins the division gets to play at home, Skins could even get a bye week if they win out and the Bears lose one game!

Re: Playoff game at home
If the skins were to lose this weekend what would it take to still make it to the playoffs?

If those three teams lose BOTH of their last two games, the Skins could lose against the Giants and Eagles and still get in... However, I dont like those odds, so lets just win this weekend! |

Re: Playoff game at home
This is why I love the NFL. Two weeks left and look at how many teams are still alive. This year is actually less than usual. What is wild is we could have three teams 12-4 in the NFC and only one would get a first round bye. Usually you win 12, you are resting the first week of the play-offs.
