Don't look now: Peter King on our side?!
http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/200....14/index.html
Washington (6-6) at Arizona (4-8) If I had any guts, I would have picked the Redskins to be the sixth seed in the NFC playoffs in Monday Morning Quarterback this week. They've got a heck of a shot if they win out -- or even go 3-1 down the stretch. Washington 27, Arizona 10 |

It IS true that even if we drop a game in the final stretch, the other teams we need to lose all have TOUGH schedules.
Ugh, I hate when he's on our side. How many times has he picked us and we've WON? I don't think too many. MAYBE against SF.

Re: Don't look now: Peter King on our side?!
What I really hate, is that the Vikings were in such disarray at one point in the season, that you wondered if they had any fans left at all, and now they may knock out the Skins for the last Wildcard spot. I thought the Skins were in pretty good shape a few weeks past and now they are struggling and in a must win situation every week. You really just don't know what the season will bring until you play the games. If we win this weekend, more of these so-called experts will jump on our bandwagon, just watch!

Re: Don't look now: Peter King on our side?!
Division Standings:
Dallas has played 5 division games and is 3-2. Giants have played 4 division games and are 3-1. The Skins are 2-1 in the division. Lets assume that every team in the division wins their non-division remaining games. Dallas will be 10-5 Giants will be 10-4 Skins will be 7-6 Scenarios: * If we beat Dallas and Philly, and lose to the Giants, Giants win the division because they'll be 5-1 in the division. * If we beat the Giants and Philly, and lose to Dallas Skins don't win the division. Why? Skins will be 4-2 and the Giants will be 4-2, Cowboys are out of the running as they'll be 3-3. To win the division "Best won-lost-tied percentage in common games" tie breaker rule comes into play. Assuming they win all their remaining games Skins are 4-4 in common while the Giants will be 6-2. Note however they still have a game at Oakland and Kansas City at home. Even if they lose those two it goes to the next tie breaker which is “Best won-lost-tied percentage in games played within the conference.” The Giants have 7 conference wins with 2 games remaining and the Skins have 6 conferences wins with 4 conference games remaining. And this is the tie breaker that breaks the camel’s back. The permutation of scenarios here is mind boggling. The moral of the whole story, Skins need to win the division by winning out otherwise their fate is in other teams hands. |

Re: Don't look now: Peter King on our side?!
The reality is Peter King has looked at Dallas, Tampa, Giants and Minnesota's schedule and realized the Redksins are playing two out of three games at home against two teams with decent defenses but struggling QBs for the last three weeks. Brunell is going to pick apart these secondaries this time around. He his managing the game as well as one could under the pressure he has been under. We need him to do what he did in Tampa without the fumbles and will finish strong.
