5 must have CDs
Lets say you're on a deserted island with only 5 CDs to listen to, what would you have with you?? Double CDs count as two!
Here's mine: Bob Marley - Legend Beastie Boys - Check Your Head Dave Matthews Band - Under The Table And Dreaming Tool - Undertow The Clash - London Calling |

Re: 5 must have CDs
This is such an impossible question to answer. I would honestly have to say none and rely on my memory to listen to all my favorite music in my head. Having to listen to 5 discs over and over again would drive me insane.

Re: 5 must have CDs
Well let me refer to my voluminous memory bank to recall what albums stand out the most in my mind:
1. Chuck Brown and the Soul Searchers- Greastest Hits (Go-Go music is still my inspiration and Chuck Brown belongs in the Rock 'n' Roll Hall of Fame). 2.Donny Hathaway-A Song For You 3.Marvin Gaye-What's Going On 4.Stevie Wonder- Songs in the Key of Life 5.Karen Clark Sheard-A Balm in Gilead

Note: Donny Hathaway was a graduate of Howard University, where he met Roberta Flack. Donny was a student of Classical music as well as Country music because of the stories it told. He wrote so many scores for movie soundtracks in the seventies and was on the verge of becoming an ultimate composer of his own symphony. He truly was blessed with the ability to bring true R & B to the mainstream yet his life like so many brilliant artist came to end when he committed suicide in a NY Hotel. Dealing with lifes up and downs took it's toll on him mentally. He was committed to a mental hospital several times. I'm glad that his widow and daughter Lalah Hathaway allowed his CD to be released.

Re: 5 must have CDs
what if i have a mp3 cd/dvd player (with 200-1200 songs per disc)?
lots of scandanavian death metal for sure, but i got lots of rock, industrial, motown etc too, so i'd just take everything... cause the batteries don't really care how many CDs i've got. |
