Ghost Hunters
In the spirit of Halloween and since LaVar is finally playing, I thought I'd bring up an alternate subject...
I was flipping through channels this weekend and some channel (I don't know which) had this show on called "Ghost Hunters". I sat and watched it and it was really crazy how they caught a "figure" on thermal imaging. I've seen a lot of shows like this on TV and I always wonder if it is just Hollywood special effects or do you really think that ghosts exist and they've been captured on film?

Re: Ghost Hunters
Hey I saw that show, I watch that show pretty regularly and I think those guys are pretty legit.
They really try to disprove things scientifically. They're not your typical ghost hunter who catches dust on film and calls them orbs or bases their investigations on their personal feelings. That thermal image of the soldier was pretty amazing. Especially the whole thing with the '2' on the locker glowing red hot. |

Re: Ghost Hunters
YEAH! That's exactly what I was thinking. I mean I've seen other shows that seem SO over-the-top, but that one was pretty cool. Like the guy went through every angle he could find to try and disprove it.
I saw some other show that was on the Discovery channel I think, and it showed this guy get "pushed down" by a ghost. It looked pretty crazy. It was at a place called "The Ram's Head Inn".

Re: Ghost Hunters
Here's a pic of it
If you think you have an otherworldly entity in your home, who you gonna call? 'Ghostbusters' may be a movie, but in real life, TAPS (The Atlantic Paranormal Society), headed up by GRANT WILSON and JASON HAWES, investigates paranormal phenomenon, and the Sci Fi Channel broadcasts their findings in the hour-long, spooky reality series "Ghost Hunters." For the season two finale, airing tonight at 9 p.m., Grant and Jason head down to the Crescent Heights Hotel in Eurkea Springs, AR, which has the reputation as being the most haunted hotel in the United States. The hotel has been around since 1886, and back in the 1930s, it was purchased by a con artist who promised he could cure cancer, but instead killed hundreds of people, who ended up in a downstairs morgue, where they stored body parts. The TAPS team set up their cameras in several rooms and the morgue, and Grant and Jason take the EMF Detector, an electromagnetic field detector designed to test the strength of an electromagnetic field, down to the morgue. They are looking for unexplained spikes. And then, Jason captures an image of a figure standing in the door next to them. It is potentially a full-body apparition. "Normally when we catch something on the thermal imaging camera, it is not impressive," Grant says. "There staring us down was this figure two feet away. It gave me chills. It was the Holy Grail for us investigators." But the two ghost hunters try to keep their cool. "We need to understand it before we present it as evidence," Jason explains. |

Re: Ghost Hunters
