Do you think...
Ade Jimoh and Rock Cartwright make fun of Lavar because they have more tackles then him?
what a crazy season so far. how about ramsey+Lavar to the jets for vilma + 1st Rnd Pick? or Ramsey to the lions for one of their WR's. hell i would even take the often injured crybaby rogers. maybe you could add in lavar for holt too. I'm just brainstorming with my usual bitterness so you SalaryCapNazis can back off for a bit. |

Re: Do you think...
I like Ramsey + LaVar to Jets for Vilma and whatever.
I like Roy Williams for LaVar + Ramsey too! I was honestly thinking the same scenerio the other day. How's San Diego?? Lived there for about 8 yrs - great place. |

I actually was thinking about adding Lavar to that trade to the Jets last week when I brought it up, you might get vilma for Lavar and Ramsey but I don't see the Jets throwing much more in, let alone a #1, Vilma would be a perfect fit for Williams, I just hate to see Ramsey go. Money wise I think that would be difficult to pull off as well. I wouldn't mind a WR from Detroit though, 1 of the Williams, or Rogers, Rogers would probably be the guy, he's underachieved so far as well, but just like Lavar he has a world of potential. |

I like the idea of Vilma because he'd be re-united with his U boys - Portis, Taylor, and Moss. But I like the Vilma trade all day long. |

Re: Do you think...
you don't want rodgers from the lions, his contract is insanely bad. williams and williams have much friendlier deals... theres lots of places that would use those two as starters though, I just think lavars hit to us would be too high (but he'd be easier to move since the next team wouldn't have to pay 17mill of his contract)

Lavar is a skin for life, we are financially committed to him. If we trade him its a 12.5 million dollar hit next year. Granted, we absorbed 9 for coles, but still not a smart move. Vilma is a beast though, and everyone knows id love to have another cane I went to school with. Hes not leaving the jets anytime soon though, hes leading the lead in tackles right now. Lavar needs to play more, holdman had one tackle last week, why isnt lavar in.

Re: Do you think...
Hell no!! Why in the world we trade essentially one rookie for another.....and throw in a perenial Pro-Bowler. Not in one million years would that trade make sense.

Re: Do you think...
Lavar is not tradable. the cap hit would be ginormous. off the top of my head i think it is around 12 mil. maybe more.

Re: Do you think...
i understand the cap hit, but having lavar on the bench making his money is a HUGE problem.
lavar wants to free lance, GW wants him to play a 11 man scheme. Williams wins. i need capologist help if a player is cut after june 1st, the team that cuts him doesnt face the cap hit till the following season. my question is, if we trade lavar after june 1st, will we face that cap hit for 2006 or 2007? btw under the current contract with the players association, there isnt a salary cap in 2007. |
