Just when Philly fans thought they were safe...

Just as Owens says he's looking to make up with McNabb, along comes this doozy.

Westbrook cuts off contract extension talks with Eagles

It says volumes about how the NFC is perceived that the Eagles are the class of the conference even after the following things happened in the offseason:
  • Starting DE shot in stomach
  • Franchise DT holds out until waived by team
  • All-pro WR has nationwide two month long hissy fit
  • Starting RB declares "I feel kind of disrespected by the offer that I continue to get from the Eagles."
  • #2 WR blows out knee in training camp
  • Backup RB out for season

And what's scary is that they are still the best team in the NFC. Coaching stability, QB play, and a good defense get them a long way...

When is the other shoe going to drop??? I am really tired of these guys.

Looks like the Eagles better be drafting an RB next year...

Re: Just when Philly fans thought they were safe...

they're only $13million UNDER the salary cap.

man, they're realy adamant on keeping one leak from breaking the dam. this season will determine at what cost to the Eagles' record. they could win the superbowl and change the star-centric circus all aorund the NFL, or lose worse and have the city implode on them for prioritizing saving money.

even though i think the former would be good for the NFL as a whole, i'd rather they lose, lose, lose.

Re: Just when Philly fans thought they were safe...

I read an article on Westbrook today. It didn't sound like he was going to sit out the season, but I'm sure he would if he's holding out now. Of course, TO appears to be playing....at least for now. After visiting an Eagles board last week....I have no sympathy for anything bad that happens to the Eagles. I still have respect for Andy Reid and Donavan McNabb, but I could care less about the rest of the organization.

Re: Just when Philly fans thought they were safe...

I just hope and pray the Eagles crash and burn.......
I don't respect ANY of their team......I don't like the way McNabb diced Favre for saying Javon should be in camp.......and guess what Favre got his WR back on the team AND they TALK to one another imagine that...................
