Re: Dr. Z: Bears will beat the 'Skins

Man, I understand that I am a fan and all and my opinion may be somewhat biased, but I know the national level just has no faith in the Skins this year and no matter how out of touch I was with the skins, picking the bears is almost as bad as going out on a limb and saying the skins are going to the Super Bowl. The national media for the most part are lost and can't form an opinion of their own and only speak what is a blown out opinion by some other person who has no idea how to assess a team at the national level. We can all agree that the offense which was our weak link last year looks much improved from the same point last year, but even Paul Woody local reporter here in Richmond has picked them to go 5-11. What the hell are they basing there reports on? I guess they will all be jumping on the bandwagon here in a few weeks saying they knew Joe Gibbs would turn it around and they never doubted him and the team this year. I hope anyhow.

Seriously, I wonder this too. I dont mind if guys have us finishing with a somewhat bad record, but under what conditions are we such an awful team? Why do we have a QB controversy? Why is our defense going to decline? How is our offense not going to get better? Have these guys watched a f'n preseason game? I dont care how Ramsey Plays, I dont care how our recivers are....if our offensive line plays like they did in the preseason our offense is going to be better...alot better. F--- Dr. Z, F--- Peter King, F---- Pastaass, All Hail Joe Theisman.. Thank you Amsterdam, goodnight.

Dr. Z is an idiot. I'm serious.

In 2004, look at the top of his power rankings next to how they actually finished up.

1. Pat's - I'll give him this one but who cares? Everyone picked the Pats #1.
2. Seahawks - Finished 9-7.
3. Titans - Finished 5-11.
4. Panthers - Finished 7-9.
5. Rams - Finished 8-8.
6. Chiefs - Finished 7-9.
7. Eagles - Finally, he got one nearly right. They finished 13-3.
8. Ravens - Finished 9-7.
9. Vikings - Finished 8-8.

My favorite prediction from Dr. Z was to pick the Chargers as the worst team in the league. These guys finished 12-4.

Great job Dr. Z! You f-ing moron.

I know that we feel like we're going to beat them handily. I'm just so worried about this game because last year we SHOULD have pounded the Bengals and Browns at least.

I'm just a little nervous.

This post hits the nail on the head. If someone made the same prediction about the Browns game last year, what would we have said? What would Sooner fans have said if someone picked Texas Christian to beat Oklahoma?

Anything can happen, folks. As Chris Berman always says, "that's why they play the game."

The Bears actually have a good defense. If Ramsey suddenly decides to start playing like a pro quarterback, and ceases the stupid mistakes we saw him make through the preseason, we should be OK. But if he throws a couple of picks, this game will be a whole lot closer than we think. I never thought a game or a season could hinge so much on one player in what is the ultimate team sport. But this season, and this game, will fall more on the shoulders of Patrick Ramsey than at any other time in his career.

Get it through your head man...and this coming from the enemy

You facing a farging mid round rookie QB!!!!

you folks arent going to roll over and die like we did 3 years ago vs the Texans

You have a superior DC and some talent on D and an offense that is solid enough to get through this game unscathed

Handily if you ask me

These "experts" think Orton is going to make fewer mistakes than Ramsey

Yeah, right

Yeah, right

Well, as rare as Haley's comet, I actually agree with a Dallas fan!
