Groom and Farris should make the team!!!

Right?

Do you think that WR Farris and P Groom had enough of a performance to make the final 53?

I do.
I also think that Nemo and Antonio Brown will be on the final roster as well...

I can agree with Groom. I'd like to keep Farris, but I have a feeling he'll make the practice squad = which is a shame, because he's a great route-runner with sure hands (kind of Thrash-lite). Nemo, yes. Brown made it difficult, but yes.

I'ld like to Farris make it too, but he may get caught in a numbers game.

I tell ya, if he could return punts half as good as A. Brown...I'd cut Brown and keep the more reliable Farris!

Not sure if Farris did enough to warrant a season pass...? However, A.Brown has looked great with returns & a few nice moved after the reception. Brown should be a lock at this point. :headbange

Mohr has no leg left. I REALLY want them to keep Groom. Let's stick with someone for the long haul...

Groom seems like the obvious choice. The kid has a cannon. Mohr is rusty and old.

Groom should be a lock, Tupa may have seen the last of his job.

Groom boomed that one 50 yarder with PLENTY of hangtime.

I think they brought Mohr in simply for competition. This is Groom's job.

As for Farris, he looked good on those TD catches but he also seemed out of position on a few occasions, and one great preseason game isn't going to be enough to distinguish anyone so much that they would make the actual roster.

The best he can hope for is the practice squad.

I figure Mohr, Jimoh, Dyson, and Wilson are gone.

Re: Groom and Farris should make the team!!!

I hope Rich Parson makes the Practice Squad...he had several good returns in the 2nd half last night, and I'm biased because he's a local product.

Andy Groom has been crucial this preseason. If he hasn't excelled as much, I don't think they would have put Tupa on the IR.

Farris looked good last night, but I'll agree with those who say he'll be on the practice squad...

Re: Groom and Farris should make the team!!!

I think Farris is probably practice squad

As for Groom, the fact that they had him there at the end to hold for Hall's kick probably was the surest sign that he's our man

I definiely agree. Groom has shown he has a huge leg. The directional kicking will come with time. I'd rather have someone who can consistently get 45-50+ yard punts even though they might not be able to pin someone deep, than someone who MAYBE gets 40 if they're lucky.

yeah, I didn't understand what Theismann was talking about. Hasn't Groom held for both Chandler and Hall the entire preseason?

Re: Groom and Farris should make the team!!!

groom's a lock, farris will be lucky to make the practice squad, same with parsons... they'd just be insurance in case of dire need. the competition they were playing was crap, so it not like they'd have any shot at real playing time (again, barring injuries).

I liked dyson'ss awareness in the 2minute drill... too bad he's not that good as a WR... I'm pretty sure he'll be long gone soon.

mohr looked bad punting, no boom, no hangtime = short kicks with good returns on them.
