Do you think Rivera will successfully rebuild ?
He's 9-15 in the regular season so far coaching this team.

Ron is who he is, the record speaks for itself. He has a losing record and it would be much worse if it wasn't for that 15-1 season..
I'm starting to lose faith in him by the week..

Based on who he found to become our new FG K, I don't trust him to build a good sandwich from a delicatessen with all the trimmings.

The ST situation was classic Snyder, unfortunately Jason Wright got caught in the crossfire.

I highly doubt Wright had much to do w/ the Taylor embarrassment. That had Dan or Tayna written all over it.

60/40 for now, it will get worse if he can't find someone in the offseason.

Was there an actual viable option that he passed on? - Stafford we got outbid and dont think we had a chance. - Watson? Texans asking price is unreasonably high, lots of baggage - Fitz? Seemed like a lot here liked the move given the alternatives. Cant blame RR for injury, while Fitz is older at 38 hes been healthy enough lately - Darnold? Bridgewater? Wentz? Was tyrod taylor available? - Herbert? We all had a hard on for Chase and Herbert is hindsight thinking and not fair to RR. Plus Haskins was still the anointed one at the time. - Haskins? Should we have kept him? Fitz seemed like the best most sensible option. At this point ... go get Watson for next year? But you have to trade a ton of capital plus sign a red flag to a mega deal ... then hope he fits and works out. Phins reportedly had a deal done but Watson wouldnt settle with the victims out of court and that was one of the Phins requirements. |

I heard on the Sports Junkies last Friday that part of Watson's settlement agreement was that he wanted all the details of what happened to be made public and his accusers wouldn't agree to that so he wouldnt settle with them. I found that very interesting. |

Re: Do you think Rivera will successfully rebuild ?
The question is certainly worth asking......Rivera has shown very little except for having the team go on a winning streak last year after starting off with a losing record.......now the WFT is 2-6........this is no different from Shanahan, Zorn, or Gruden.

Spurrier 12-20 Shanny 11-22 Zorn 12-20 Gruden 13-19 Rivera 9-14 (so far) Ron will be hard pressed to catch Gruden's win total and even Zorn's and Spurrier's wont be easy. |

Re: Do you think Rivera will successfully rebuild ?
We've been down this path so many times. Everyone thinks they can come in here and right the ship. And then they get here and are quickly beaten down by this house of dumb that Dan built.
I will say though in this case, it's premature to say Ron can't do it. I think we need to give him his first 3 years and evaluate from there. |
