Re: Draft grades
Man, I think we’ve done well for the second consecutive draft. To be honest...Dallas, giants and eagle did well too. I thought Dallas did really well. The east gonna be extremely competitive next year. If we can stay healthy we will compete.

Would have put A- if it was available because of not finding a G nor a C. But really I wasn't expecting that much, the deal in the 2nd round was a win in itself, and picking Guice and a promising OT out of it was just great. The sports illustrated article says Geron Christian could play G, but nobody else says so and Gruden said he was here to be a swing tackle. Jay Gruden, Derrius Guice and Geron Christian Quotes I'm really curious to see what Sean Welsh and Ty McCulley can bring to the table. We need somebody better than Kouandjio at LG, Arie can do the job in pass protection but not in the run game.

He went on to say, Ty couldn't be expected to make the move to guard in season, from a Friday to a Sunday, but gave the impression he would be trying the position in the off season. I think this is the first person with any credibility say Ty was going to be tried at guard.

Re: Draft grades
Ditto.
Not many 6'8" guards who perform at a high level. Quote:

Look, its nearly impossible to get everything you need in the draft. Looks like interior Oline just wasn't there and we went with our board. I don't like the Apke pick, BUT I didn't like the Monte Nicholson pick last year either. So I was wrong there...hopefully im wrong here. If the plan is Nsekhe now...then go for it...but Im ACTIVELY looked for Interior Oline help. Post June 1st cuts...also Im looking...Hopefully there is some cuts post draft based on guys drafted who could replace others on their teams. Also, AND I HATE THIS...but Im calling Luavo and discussing him coming into compete for a roster spot. |

You can't have it all in one draft, they knew the DL was the biggest weak point of the team and they addressed it big time, LG is a huge ? for us but lets hope TY can step in and do a good job for a yr

Re: Draft grades
Forgot to mention Tim Settle in there... Between him, Payne, Allen and Ioannidis, our main weakness on defense could become our main strength!

Re: Draft grades
I posted a whole reason why I gave the draft a B+. Server busy message deleted it. So I'll just say B+.
