Post game
Can we please please not be on MNF anymore??? Please???
Whole team laid an egg, very discouraged in the effort. From kickoff it looked like we didn't care and that's very unusual for jay and co. Yes we can still make the playoffs but even if we did we are 1 and done against Atlanta so it really doesn't matter much. Kirk= played just as bad as week 1 Oline = same as kirk Wrs = djax played well that's it. Reed wtf man??? If u aren't going to play at all don't do shit like that. Defense???? What defense??? All we have is Norman and RK, everyone else is a journeyman type player in their future. Overall it's a new day and all we can do as fans is sit and watch it unfold. Move on to chicago (I'll be there) let's hope they don't play like this.

Re: Post game
Yeah like I said it really wouldn't matter at this point. We'll wee how it works out. Tampa still has at NO and then Carolina left could lose both. GB will play Detroit who will lose to Dallas Sunday. It's possible

Re: Post game
I think the Bucs lose at least one to the Saints or Panthers. I think GreenBay loses at Detroit. That game will still mean something to Detroit. Skins win out because the Bears are worse than us, and Gints will rest. So we totally back into the playoffs. As for last night there was just nothing positive at all. I lost faith in every aspect of our game. In the course of three hours I went from rooting for a team who is a few pieces away from being a true contender to rooting for a team full of holes, with no depth and piss poor coaching. Ugh. |

Re: Post game
Googled but couldn't find late hit on Newton by Murphy. Anyone got a link?
Smh at Reed getting justifiably tossed. But panthers #20 getting away with the first head slap and other panthers not penalized for taunting that incident. Reed should've let go of #20 when the play was over, but as usual it's the second person that throw a blow that gets called. |

That should've been a flag. But he went sliding late, leaving few time to Murphy to pull out from the hit.

If the Giants beat the Eagles, and Dallas loses to Detroit, then the G-men will be in position to play for a divisional title in the final week of the season. As far, as backing into the playoffs.... Your scenario wouldn't be considered "backing into the playoffs." Backing into the playoffs is what we did in 1992. We lost to the Raiders during the final week of the season (at RFK, no less), and needed the Vikings to beat the Packers the following day (which, they did, as both teams was playing for a divisional title). The Vikings, at home, whipped the Packers, and we get in virtue of the Packers losing. That's the true term of backing into the playoffs. Losing a game or games and needing another team or more to win for you to get in. If we win out, and others lose, then we won to get in. Yes, we needed help, but, technically, we still did our job along the way. |

Re: Post game
Very frustrating, Skins were never in that game like they could have cared less if they won or lost.
I am kind of just over the Skins honestly. Its always this one step forward two steps back BS with them as a franchise.

Re: Post game
At this point I just want to finish with a winning record back to back years. That's a good chance. Overall I think we always drink the koolaid too much around here. We can still make the playoffs sadly enough.

Re: Post game
That's the main problem, the fact that we care enough to drink the koolaid. This team is infested with bums. Scott can take his football guy crap and shove it where the sun don't shine!!!! All his football guys either are no longer on the team, are oft injured, or just plain suck!!! Get the best available at the targeted position man. Those are the real football guys!!!!!

Re: Post game
No inspiration at all last night. The most lackluster I have seen this team in a long time. There is definitely a lack of talent all over the place, especially on defense, but at least they have looked as though they are trying to win. Up until last night. Carolina looked like the home team in control of their own destiny, beating up on a team that has given up on the season.
This is the first game that I can remember in quite a while that multiple things kept breaking their way and they just couldn't capitalize. Two calls reversed on challenges, personal foul NOT called on Murphy, the "uncatchable" pass call, and more... This team may not win another game, which is really ok because after last night they don't deserve to sniff the post season. |

Re: Post game
Positives:
-Defense. I'm sorry but they only allowed one TD on a blown coverage by Whitner (second one Carolina got the ball on the 1 yard line). Yes they gave up yards but they made some key stops. Couldn’t ask for more from these guys. Considering how bad the offense played, leaving this D on the field an awful lot of time, I say this D made more than what could've been excepted from them. -Mason Foster. He continues to impress me. Solid tackler, good blitzer, not bad coverage guy. Made some plays in the backfield. -DeSean Jackson… Made some great catches. Sure you don’t want him around next year? Negatives: -Dropped passes. -Vernon Davis… Drops, lame block leading to a fumble and eventually a TD… You’re better than that man. -Whitner. I’m done with him. -Running game. -Offense.

Re: Post game
Also what's up with gruden hating on us all the time? He hasn't said one thing about the skins all season that is positive. Last night before the game he was like "this skins team is going to get gashed tonight " he never says that about others before the game. Seems like he is a little salty at the organization or something.
