OTAs all the way
Have people been watching this stuff on skins.com? I must confess I watch em all--an excellent skins fix in the mid-May duldroms.
Check out the video with Joe Gibbs coaching the WRs--he plays DB in the entire drill that we see--coming to the line to press receivers, falling off into zone. THe guy is definetely in great shape, and it's super cool to see him teaching and coaching these guys. All in all, very cool, though my wife makes fun of me for wasting time on offseason (not even training camp!) videos... Gibbs as DB

Re: OTAs all the way
I'm with you sleep. I just can't get enough of this preseason excitement. Just watching the receivers catch simple passes and the QBs throwing around the pigskin gets me so wired for the upcoming season. And watching Gibbs work just makes me all warm and fuzzy inside.

Re: OTAs all the way
I gotta say, Campbell looks pretty accurate from what I've seen him do in those videos.

Re: OTAs all the way
Agreed, Campbell's accuracy appears legit...........it's only the mental aspect and whether he can pick up an NFL system that concerns me. I hope he can, but I'm sceptical.

Re: OTAs all the way
He really has a nice throwing motion, and his passes are on the money, from what I saw.
I also thought David Patten and Santana Moss looked sharp. Those guys can cut and move. It should be a good influence on Jacobs and McCants as well.

Re: OTAs all the way
There not much. But still one of the first things I do when I get to work is watch them. It's better then nothing in May! Like you said PSUSkinsfan It's great to see Gibbs runing around out there. I really think he's going to get this thing turned around.

Re: OTAs all the way
I agree. McCants looked plodding and slow compared to the others, especially Patten.
Wonder if that's what gets him into Gibbs's doghouse? He sure didn't look like he was hauling ass trying to impress...we'll see.

Re: OTAs all the way
Patten really does look fast........very quick change of direction. With Patten making cuts, Moss burning down the sidelines, and Jacobs coming across the middle, I like our WR situtation more and more. They're not "The Posse", but I think there is a chance they could turn out to be a very good WR corp (if the system is in place for them to succeed).

Re: OTAs all the way
Definitely. And Prioleau looked VERY fast too. Our kick coverage is going to be ridiculous with all these new people.

Re: OTAs all the way
No Doubt. I will be shocked if we don't have one of the top 3 special teams units in the NFL this year.

Re: OTAs all the way
I appreciate the effort by skins.com, but personally I find these clips to be pretty boring. Let's watch the QBs play catch with each other, here's the RBs taking handoffs.
Just makes me wish for training camp even more. Everyone looks good in shorts and no pads. |

Re: OTAs all the way
Definitely. And when I DO get really bored, it IS something to do for at least 15-20 minutes, no matter how boring it may be.
