I hope it's Hankerson -- but went with Helu. Like his one cut style in shanny's offense. WRs just take too long to develop.

My thoughts exactly. Ideally Hankerson ends up being the type of player we all hoped Malcolm Kelly was going to turn into, but I like what I'm hearing about Helu and RBs can usually make an impact much earlier.

Re: 2011 Redskins Offensive Rookie of the Year
Ok here's my take, I'm guessing the star RB's will be Torain, Williams, and Hightower. Helu might get lucky to be on the roster as a #4 back but I just don't see him leap frogging in front of the others unless ther are injuries. All other RB's I can see going to PS.
So my best guess is a WR will get the nod, which boils down to Hankerson, Paul, and Robertson. As much as I like Hankerson and think he will possibly be our end zone threat and maybe even TD champion, I have a feeling Paul might suprise with possibly being a possession leader amongst the Rookies. My reason is because we hear nothing but great things about how Paul is making all the catches to include one handed catches. He supposedly has been a surprise to the coaching staff with how he gets separation and makes all the catches. So I picked Paul. |

Williams was moved to FB.
I went with Helu. With Torain's injuries he's going to get a shot. |

But Paul could easily be put on PS as well. WR's this year I could see Moss Stallworth Gaffney AA Banks Austin PS: Paul, Robertson. or Banks and Austin could be gone and Paul seeing more playing time. I just think the team likes Banks ability for speed and ablility to get open. |

i voted Hank. The things he did at The U makes me think he has a very high ceiling. Statistically he's the best receiver they've ever had (at least his senior year lol), over Irvin, Reggie Wayne, & Andre Johnson. If he becomes anything like them we've got the ultimate steal on our hands. If you can't tell, I'm very high on this guy...

Re: 2011 Redskins Offensive Rookie of the Year
Gotta stick with Helu. I honestly think Torain might be looking at a reduced role this season if Hightower steps it up. And I know Shanny will run a two back system since neither Hightower (fumbilitis) or Torain (injury prone) will be able to carry the rock all by themselves. With Williams out of the picture Helu will be that other back that will see snaps, and since he's our downhill threat who doesn't have a fumbling problem or isn't injury prone and excels in a one cut scheme I believe he will be the rookie that stands out. Hankerson will be a close second but it's a numbers game at wideout and I think he'll only be a #3 at best due to being an inexperienced rook with a shortened offseason. He'll impress but not as much as Helu simply because we all know we're going to see a lot of running the ball this season due to what we are working with at qb. And I reserve the right to change that statement if Beck proves me wrong and lights it up.

Re: 2011 Redskins Offensive Rookie of the Year
I voted Hankerson. I don't see right now where his reps are going to come from, but these things have an unfortunate way of working themselves out. When they do, Hankerson is a good bet to set a few rookie receiving records.
