Your 2010 NFL MVP is?

Mike Vick
Tom Brady
Phillip Rivers

Matt Ryan

This has been an amazing season for these guys, especially for Vick. I'm speechless when it comes to his play in '10. When he was in ATL the guy was basically a 1 dimensional QB, now hes a dual-threat beast on the field. Philly has a lot of talent around him but there is no doubt Vick is at the top of his game.. I just think it's amazing how the guy was out of football for 2 years and comes back balling like this.

For Brady it's the same old story, the guy is just GREAT.. He is without any doubt a top 5 QB of all time. 31 Tds 4Ints this season and has the best record in the afc. The Pats have one of the worst Defenses in the NFL so that just puts more pressure on Brady to put up points.. The guy always answers the call and is captain clutch.

Phillip Rivers deserves the crown just as much as the other 2 IMO... It doesn't matter who lines up at WR, 17 will find you and make you look good. He made Partick Crayton look like a star.. VJax has only played 1 full game but Rivers hasn't missed a beat.. I was one that said SD was making a mistake trading Brees but they weren't. Some "Experts" compare Rivers to Dan Marino and that's saying something..

Matt Ryan has also had a fantastic season leading his Falcons to a 12-2 record and posting 25 Tds to just 9 INTS. They are undefeated at home and look to capture the Number 1 seed in the NFC. Some have compared Ryan to the likes of Peyton Manning and Tom Brady, It's scary how good this guy will be in the future. Ryan has definitely had help from guys like Roddy White and Michael Turner but don't discredit Ryan in any way.. There's a reason why his nickname is "Matty Ice" the guy is just clutch..

I'd say Peyton Manning would be in this race but they just havent been the same Colts, obviously injuries have played a big role but those horrendous INT games against SD, NE, and DAL will hurt 18 in the MVP race this yr IMO.

I also like
Roddy White, Darren McFadden, MJD, Arian Foster and Andre Johnson as Honorable Mention..

What do you guys/girls think?

I'm loving what Matt Ryan is doing but it's kinda hard to pick him over Vick or Brady. I'm going with Vick simply because that Eagles team is not going anywhere at all without him. I suspect Tom "cheating-ass--baby-mama-having-pretty-boy" Brady is going to get it though.

I disagree. I think Brady has less talent all around him. Obviously their system/organization is much better, but offensive talent is much better on the Eagles.

Re: Your 2010 NFL MVP is?

Brady has better season numbers but on a game by game basis Vick has clearly been the MVP. If you take out the Redskin game where he left early as well as the other games he missed you would have a QB that would have easily passed the 4,200 yard mark with 32 TD passes which added to the 8 rushing TD's he has right now would have seen him score more then 40 TD's this year. His growth is remarkable especially when you consider the fact that this was a guy that had never thrown for more than 3,000 yards in a 16 game season. This year he will do it while essentially missing 3.75 games.

If this was basketball Vick would have something like 32 ppg while Brady would be around 30. Plus that Giants comeback was pretty special. I mean they were down 31-7 and Vick brought them back.

Re: Your 2010 NFL MVP is?

Sorry Vick, Brady would have to be the MVP on my boat. I love what Vick's done as a football player this season from non-objective perspective, but what Brady's done is even more improbable. 21 touchdowns and no picks over his last 9 games. I think he's at 29-4 td-pick ratio for the season, which is crazy. And this was after they got rid of Randy Moss. He's done more with less, they just keep plugging new guys in and he's still incredible. So I gotta give it to him, I feel like Vick has more weapons at his disposal with McCoy, Jackson, Maclin, Celek, etc.

That and he's got the name factor too. The media has shown a lot more love to Brady than Vick this season, and you're kidding yourself if you think that's not a factor. Brady will win it, although it will be very close, and he's the MVP in my book. This season has solidified his standing as one of the best qb's of all time as well.

EDIT: Just checked and Tom Brady checks in with 31 touchdown passes and 4 interceptions. Sorry Vick. That's in addition to 9 straight weeks (could be 10, not sure when it started) of no interceptions, and that's in addition to setting the NFL record with 2 touchdown passes in like 8 straight games). Just a record setting season for Brady and it won't be ignored.

Tom Brady.....Not many household names on his team, just well organized and well coached. Randy Moss leaves, Deion Branch returns, team doesn't miss a beat. I envy the patriots.

This year we're going to get co-mvp's. Brady and Vick are going to split it, just as Peyton and McNair did a few years ago.

I honestly think all 4 guys deserve it this yr but I'm going to say Vick simply because he has made that team so fun to watch and I like his comeback story. Either way u can't go wrong.. I'm surprised you guys haven't said rivers or Ryan?

I think the Rivers hype subsided a tad once he lost to Oakland 2 weeks ago. As for Ryan, I admit he's getting the shaft, the only big difference this year between Ryan, Vick and Brady, is that Vick and Brady are bigger names. Although that will *change* once Ryan continues on his current trajectory.

Re: Your 2010 NFL MVP is?

Brady, probably. Rivers is amazing, but he was much more deserving of the award last year when he was every bit as good as Manning. He's had a bit of a turnover issue that has made a small contribution to the Chargers' losses (not that they need any help).

Vick is a distant third, and while he's a nice candidate, I don't see what he brings to Philadelphia that Jammal Charles doesn't bring to Kansas City or that Arian Foster doesn't bring to Houston. Those would be my top five, anyhow.

Huh??? Well for one he's the QB getting major rushing yards that breaks the back of a defense. Add in his pin point passing and I think you've got a real legit MVP.
