Re: Where every NFL team ranks in roster turnover
29th! Great for fans who long for the days of keeping teams together...not so good for improving the team. However, we made some excellent moves this offseason...fewer quality moves rather than constant, mass dismantling is probably the better way to go anyways.

Re: Where every NFL team ranks in roster turnover
as bad as we were in 2009, if we didnt have a lot of turnover, I would be very concerned. I can't think of a single starter or primary backup on our roster that we've lost in the offseason that i even remotely miss. We've kept all of our key contributers and good roleplayers and cut a bunch of crap. good for us.

Re: Where every NFL team ranks in roster turnover
this is interesting to look at, and I would think that the nos. will pretty much reflect rosters on opening day since most teams decide to cut vets for cap reasons well before camp.
The turnover on the skins is pretty significant due to who they let go. obviously, qb is a big change, but they also let go of some vets that many of us have watched for years, like Smoot. I expect some similar cuts next year too, maybe Portis, Moss, Carter, Fletcher, daniels, and some guys that won't re-sign; rocky, rogers, doughty. I always want to see the players stay w/the team a long time, but realistically I don't expect most of the guys mentioned above to be here beyond this season. |
