DeSean Jackson = Playmaker. Who is ours?

I recall many on this board calling for drafting DeSean Jackson two years back. It's ironic that he now has 3 long TDs against us in just 4 games when you consider that we drafted BOTH Devin Thomas and Fred Davis ahead of Jackson. In addition, we get very little from Randle El as a punt returner while Jackson gives Philly a legitimate chance to score on every punt return. With Moss and Portis on the back side of their careers, where will our explosive plays come from in 2 years?

Thomas has the most potential to be that type of player. DeSean is probably a bit faster and well, we made mistakes on those two big plays. Rogers bit hard on the pass... Carter was way too slow to slide on the run and neither Landry, Rogers, nor Hall could really get in on him, Landry came in too far instead of forcing it outside or making DeSean make a play back towards the middle. Hall had to come across the field and Rogers was busy getting snowplowed by Maclin I think it was.

Actually, the defense won that game for the Eagles, that's their playmaker.

No the best player on the Eagles tonight was Jason (I'm done as a starter after this yr) Campbell lol!! That guy deserves all the shit Steve Young just said about him.. He is a bottom 10 qb in the league

Cmon bottom 10? With Culter, Russel, Derek Anderson, and Culpepper nah. The O-line is not blocking; put Collins in and see what happens.

Cutler has no WR'S and their line is bad also.. JC is awful and everyone outside of our fans got to see it tonight. He had two td's but the last one was a JUNK td. I would take anyone from the East over him, Plus Cutler, Rodgers, Warner, Hasselbeck, Ryan, Brees, and most of the AFC qb's so yea he's a bottom 10 QB.. Just look at his overall numbers and record for his career.

Unfortunately, talk like this will get us another top pick QB that will get rattled by our "wonderful" offensive line.

Talking about how bad Campbell is, is like beating a dead horse and it will not get anything accomplished. The FO needs to draft and get good linemen, before any move is done about the QB position.

What!? you would rather Culter Mr. Int, or Jake Delhomey. Brees same Offense for years = success. Warner Same O = success. Rodgers Same O = success. P. Manning, McNabb, Brady, Big Ben same O for years = success. I see a pattern and you don't?

Haha, I thought it was funny when Steve said that he wouldn't have thrown the ball that was tipped for a TD. He said something like a good QB can sense that stuff and make minor adjustments to his release/angle to avoid the defender's hand. I was thinking, "Whatever dude, you're a hall of fame QB!" I got a kick out of that one.

you'll see some qb's jump up or put a bit more loft on it.. I mean he DID see the guy coming.. but batted balls do happen too

he was throwing it right into the thick of some defense though, which would have been a bad move had it not been tipped

Yeah, like Steve Young never threw a pick six or had one of his balls batted up in the air and intercepted. That has happened to the best quarterbacks as well.

Marko Mitchell needs playing time great hands and speed. Put him in the slot or something. He is not playing because of his small contract I think. Did you see the power Rock ran with give him the ball. ARE needs to be taken off of punt return.

Yeah I'm sure that they're not thinking stop the run as much against Rock but he hit the hole quicker than most of our guys have been it seems. That's one that I'd like to look at again.
