Jerry World's "Party Pass" a Party to Pass On

Well, it only took one game for Jerry World's "Party Pass" to fall flat on it's face. Now they once again take a backseat to the Skins attendance-wise. What a joke.

Looks like a miserable game experience to me:

YouTube - View of Cowboys Stadium from East Party Pass area ESRO Inaugural Night 9-20-2009
Standing on concrete for five hours among 30,000 drunk strangers is soooo much better than watching the game on an LCD with free food, beverages, parking, air conditioning, and a couple of Laz-y-Boys.

But, Jerry got their money, so in his mind, it's a success!

Jerry got more ticket $ than he would have and sold more beer & hotdogs than he would have without the party zone so it was a success. Would I buy a ticket for that, no way but lot of people will. I think in the future this kind of ticket will be standard for most teams.

Read this.
It was a flop. Fans didn't like it, and it was so oversold that they are cutting it back from 30,000 to 10,000 after only one game. Maybe a decent concept, but the execution in this case was fail for sure.

It looked pretty terrible. Not many things work perfectly the first time out and this was no exception. I still think the basic idea is good but it will take some tweaking to get it perfect and other owners will let Jerry work out the kinks and then set up their own party zones.

Right.

Shitty standing room only tickets with no view unless you're 6'7 will be the standard I'm sure.

90% of the people buying those tix werent there to watch the game. The other owners will let Jerry work out the kinks and take his lumps and then set up their own zones and not make the same mistakes Jerry did. BTW, lots of teams do standing room tix for big games so its already sort of a standard practice, Jerry just formalized it and took it to a new level.

Yeah I couldn't watch a game that way. Alot of those people who did buy the ticket though had an abundant amount of reasons to want to be there. Having said that though I doubt that 90% would want to deal with that situation again.

Heard on Sporting News Radio this morning that fans were puking and passing out from the excessive heat in that area, they did not have access to bathrooms and they could not see the field OR the Jerrytron, only small monitors.

While it does not look like the way I would want to see the game I just cannot believe that they did not have restrooms for that area. By law they are required. With that said back when we had the thread about punters hitting the Jerrytron I made the comment that only the first few rows of people standing would be able to see the game and it looks like I was right. Then after you get that spot if you need another beer or have to take a leak then you have to move loosing your spot. Sets up perfect to get a few fans angry with each other and having fights.

It might be the Miami in me but that was the first thing I thought of! I see plenty of drunkin fights happening when the Skins beat them!

They did not have access enough restrooms...with that many people crammed in that area with no way to get out without pushing a few hundred people...it's not hard to believe.
