NOLAN A FORMER ‘SKIN, AS WELL

Defensive coordinator Mike Nolan also will return to his old home this Sunday.

Nolan was the Redskins’ defensive coordinator from 1997 until 1999. Although he was fired by Redskins owner Daniel Snyder, Nolan would not divulge his emotions of facing his former team.

“This is my fifth NFL team,” Nolan said. “If you have too many grudges and you stay on too long, you hate everybody, and you don’t want to go there. I’m certainly happy to be where I’m at. I’d much rather be here than down there.”

Mike Nolan stunk the place up down here year after year of pitiful defence was his legacy . Right now however he seems to be bussy distroying another mans legacy and interestingly another Redskins Ex D co-ordinator in Baltimore.

Billick earned some of my respect with this:

Ravens Coach Brian Billick was asked if he thought the game had passed Redskins Coach Joe Gibbs by. "That's ludicrous, that's absurd," Billick said. "The man is a brilliant coach."

I dont think Nolan was a good coach but i also think that the rankings dont mean anything. We had a top ranked defense with lewis becuase its based on yards we gave up, and we didnt give up many yards becuase teh offense always gave them great field position. I think this year is the first year we have had a d that actually steps up and makes plays.
