Redskins/Giants Opening Day Predictions

So last year I started this same thread. We played the same team on opening day and let's just say I was way way off on my prediction. This year I have to switch my avatar to a Giants helmet for a week if we lose, but I'm not all that worried. Giants are a very quality team. We beat them in New Jersey opening Sunday....

24-23

I agree somewhat. I think we cant shut the down to a score of 24-17 Skins.

Re: Redskins/Giants Opening Day Predictions

I think I have predicted 28-14 before. I believe Eli will throw at least two picks, and that Hall will take one back for the TD. I believe JC will also hook up for a long completion that sets up or scores the first TD.

The only bad part is that the Giants will drive down on their first possession and score, so we will once again be playing from behind(unless we get the ball first and get a score).

As we all know this one counts! Check all excuses at the door!

25 - 14 Skins, them not having Boley, Alford, and possibly not Canty allows portis to run on them most of the day. And a 2nd year receiver gets a TD, either Kelly or Thomas.

Redskins - 24
Giants - 9

I just don't see Eli having the time to throw the football, which makes him check down alot this game, and they wont be able to process any drives. I also see Portis getting 100+ yards agaisnt a struggling injury plagued Giants defense.

I think our Defense is going to be the strong point again this year, and I predict Orakpo getting his first career sack in the first game on Sunday.

I'm feeling a blah kind of game. Not a lot of offense, some sloppy play, and good defensive football for the most part. I say Skins 20-13, with two TD drives (1 coming off a short field from a turnover), and a few FGs inside of 40 yards.

17-14 skins Campbell with 2 touchdowns - one to moss and one to kelly. I dont buy the injury plagued defense argument, giants have one of if not the best D line in the league and Portis will rack up a hard earned 75-80 yards on the ground and 15-20 yards through the air. Eli gets picked off once but gets a touchdown, and that fearsome running attack of the Giants gets a 100-110 yards against the Skins and also scores a touchdown. Suisham justifies his roster spot by kicking a game winner.

I don't buy that weak Giant defensive argument either. And B. Jacobs is a stud!

17-14 Burgandy & Gold if our OL is what the FO says it is. I'll believe it when I see that final score.

Giants 21 skins 17.

I just don't think our offense is up to snuff. That Giants Dline will eat up our Oline.

I'll go opposite, i say the Giants D-Line doesn't get the penetration they are expecting. O-Line stands up well and JC starts off slowly but warms up by the 2nd quarter. Redskins in a convincing victory
