Micheal Crabtree is sad
Little Mikey Crabtree is not working out very well under Mike Singletary. In fact, he may be making an idiotic move of colossal proportions if we can believe anything PFT says.

Stand your ground SF. Make him and his idiot agent pay for their greed and dumbness.

Re: Micheal Crabtree is sad
Dumb, dumb move on Crabtree's part. And another reason why there needs to be a clear cut rookie payscale in the NFL. This crap about he should have been drafted higher and therefore paid more is completely insane.

Re: Micheal Crabtree is sad
No kidding. I don't even understand how a reasonable person can make such a claim with a straight face. It's this type of crap that gives agents a bad name.

Re: Micheal Crabtree is sad
Orakpo arguably should have been drafted higher, but you didn't hear his agent crying for Top-10 money. A system that rewards a top draft pick like Matthew Stafford a larger signing bonus than that given to a Super Bowl winning QB (Eli Manning) is a joke. The time has come for veterans to lean on the new NFLPA rep to lobby hard to limit rookie pay in the next CBA.

Re: Micheal Crabtree is sad
I am starting an anti PFT movement. Sadly, I am all alone, because people just won't stop posting is as a reference.

If it's another typical, par-for-the-course tabloid bunch of crap, then it's just another normal PFT article. Great topic for discussion either way, the rookie pay scales and contracting needs reformed desperately.

I'm with you, too. I read PFT but never use it as a reference here.

Edit. Remember this? I will never get burned again. http://www.thewarpath.net/redskins-locker-room/19534-rumor-brunell-heading-to-seattle.html#post345546 I know that it was not PFT, but this is a perfect example of why I do not believe anything until a combination of the following take place 1. it actually happens 2. reported by a reputable news source 3. is confirmed by those involved In this example you only have 1 of 3 and that is only because ESPN put their neck on the line. It has not happened and the parties involved have denied it. Last edited by KLHJ2; 08-06-2009 at 05:59 PM. |

Re: Micheal Crabtree is sad
They do it constantly. Seriously. Yeah they have a serious amount of crapola. Most of it is speculation/commentary/stirring things up. Florio often acknowledges it. But most of their stuff is straight forward reporting. There's a reason so many people follow it. If it was all crap no one would care.

Re: Micheal Crabtree is sad
Play for the 2nd contract, Crabtree. I think Crabtree is the best receiver that came out this year, but you sure as hell wont make more money next year. You're not going to be a 1st round pick.

Re: Micheal Crabtree is sad
Play for the second contract?! All he has to do is sign the same as Orakpo and he is a MULTI MILLIONAIRE. If he really wanted to hurt them he would sign, then claim his foot hurts and go laughing all the way to the bank!

Re: Micheal Crabtree is sad
This can't be true because if it is, then this is the worst move since the Ricky Williams Master P contract. 20 Mil. in hand is worth more than 30 Mil. in the bush. His grandma, baby mama, and mama would keek his behind. Not kick, but keek.
