What is the meaning of your screen name?

In an attempt to get to know some of you. What if any, does your screen name mean, or say about you. Some are pretty clever, and some leave you scratching your head. This thread is just for lite information purposes only. It's not meant to diabolically crack your cloak of secrecy, so please don't take it as such. Should some of you still wish to be anonymous simply don't respond, and you can remain in the witness protection program.

My screen name is 4mrusmc: Former United States Marine Corps. What say you?

Re: What is the meaning of your screen name?

Not really any meaning to my name. It's just hard to find unique names on the Internet, and I don't like to have to remember different names for different sites. So, I wanted to pick one I could use anywhere. I created it originally for fantasy football, and I've used it ever since.

Re: What is the meaning of your screen name?

I created my screen name based on the due date of my first born son ...7/24. It had a secondary meaning of me being a Skins fan 7 days a week, 24 hours a day. Of course, the boy came out on 7/25, but what's one is done.

Re: What is the meaning of your screen name?

When I was a kid I went to Art Monk Football Camp twice, the summers before and after the last Super Bowl. Every day we got to meet awesome players: Darrell Green; Charles Mann; Gary Clark; and obviously Art Monk. Before every practice we had this warm up where we would yell "ART MONK DRILL" the whole time. I can't really remember what exactly it involved, but there wasn't much to it besides slapping your own pads and yelling.

Why I decided to end it with a Z, I wish I knew.

I think that by you going to that last camp as a kid has cursed our beloved Skins to suckdom. I probably echo the sentiments of everyone here, and with that said I would gladly pay for you to go back to Art Monks' camp and reverse this terrible dry spell that we have been in as fans.

Just for the sake of rubbing it in the guy (Art Monk) just walks around most of the time like a normal guy. In other words he's very accessible when you go to the camp, at least in between practices. Now that I think about it I don't think I ever saw him during practice, only in the gyms and cafeteria in between.

My little brother went to Art Monk Football Camp when he was around 9 or 10 years old. He was showing out big time at the camp apparently, but he ended up catching an elbow or shoulder to the face and broke his nose really badly. He was crying and bleeding everywhere, and Art actually carried him off the field to the infirmary. I was so jealous when I heard the story. I was 13 or 14 at the time (around 1991-1992), and Art was my favorite Redskin next to Darrel Green and Charles Mann. Funny thing is, my bro could care less about the Redskins, so he didn't think anything of it. He's a freakish athlete- he was a sponsored snowboarder for a while, and he was on the 16 and under US team for soccer. He played football for a few Maplewood (kind of like Pop Warner in the DC area) teams and in high school for a few years, and was the best receiver anywhere he went. Now he's a buddhist and a photographer in NYC. Go figure. If I had his athleticism I'd probably be wearing the burgundy and gold.

Re: What is the meaning of your screen name?

mine probaly doesnt make any sense . . .

i signed on here when gibbs was coaching, he used a phrase "this isnt about getting over a hill, its about getting over a mountain" referencing to all the work he had ahead of him in trying to re-organize our franchise after spurrier.

so i went with "over the mountain" to reference to the journey gibbs would take us on to the promised land. we didnt quite get there thoo . .

go skins!!

This is pretty much my screen name for everything. Basically i am a big Smashing Pumpkins fan and one of my favorite songs is Zero. However Zero is normally already taken so i added the hero.
