Want to Work for Obama? Fill Out This 63 Page Application

http://graphics8.nytimes.com/package...stionnaire.pdf

I really hope this doesn't turn into a right vs. left thread, Just wanted to share what an application to be a top ranking official under the new administration looks like. I don't know how it compares to others, nor do I really care quite frankly.

Re: Want to Work for Obama? Fill Out This 63 Page Application

Looks like a NYS job app. I was going through the process of applying for a state job and I gave up in pure frustration.

You didn't open the link, did you? It's not 63 pages - it's 63 questions. 7 pages.

Doesn't seem unreasonable at all for someone effectively running part of our country.

I did open the link, and I scanned through most of the 63 questions/requests. Pages was a typo, my apologies, thanks for assuming.

63 Questions and I'd think that is pretty standard stuff.

If I apply he's gonna want all my internet aliases? That's crazy! If they discover I am saden1 I am toast.

63 items, not sure I've ever seen an app that detailed. And notice all the information and documents you have to provide. Not your typical standard application for employment.

These are not your typical jobs - everything in here appears to be to uncover skeletons prior to confirmation hearings. They are looking for conflicts of interest, possible improprieties, prior inconsistent public statements, etc. The last thing any president wants is to appoint someone, only to have a skeleton emerge during confirmation, which makes it look like either (1) they haven't done their homework or (2) they exercise poor judgment.

Of course and I agree, I was just responding to those that said it was standard stuff. Standard for a job like that maybe, but not for the general public.

when I was 16 I failed the personality test to work at Kmart. when I was walking in to take it the HR lady gave me a look and told me to be sure to answer honeslty...

the questions were BS like, "would you ever consider becoming a professional clown"... so I"m thinking... if the money was amazing, you bet... so sure... and "would you ever steal something" ... sure everyone would in some situation... don't say never right? I bombed the test. They were amazed. I guess they just wanted me to lie.

Pretty ironic that Obama wasn't asked to provide any documents to be President though. A 1-page letter from his doctor saying "He's good" passed for health records. He never provided an original Birth Certificate. His financial records (showing his Freddie/Fannie money ranking him third on that list and his real estate deal with slumlord Rezko...)

Many in the DoD said he would've been denied a security clearance to get a job there.

Why would he work at DoD? He's going to be president.
