Re: Officer kills man who beat toddler to death near Modesto
That's really disturbing.
I feel horrible for the people at the scene that tried to help but couldn't do enough to save the kid because this is going to stay with them for the rest of their lives. I can't even imagine how horrible that must be.

That's pretty much the worst thing I've ever read. At least the lunatic is dead. That poor child though... Ugh

I think I'd rather not know that this kind of depravity exists in the world.

The guy clearly lost his mind for whatever reason, thinking that the kid had demons in him or some BS. I don't think that insanity is anything really new. People have been doing sick shit to one another all throughout history.

Re: Officer kills man who beat toddler to death near Modesto
I wonder why the witnesses didn't do more? That may not be a fair question, but if there is a grown man attacking a child, isn't it your moral obligation to put yourself between them?

But I'm with you. Unless the guy has a weapon, I swear to God I'd go down myself before I'd stand by and let this dude do that. I think I've said it before around here, I have a visceral rage type reaction when I see people getting hurt who don't deserve it. Unless I saw a weapon on him. But if I didn't, I'm taking my chances. If the guy beats my ass until the cops arrive at least it's not a poor little kid. Pain is temporary, death is not. Maybe the witnesses were elderly or female? (I didn't read the article)

Re: Officer kills man who beat toddler to death near Modesto
It's easy to second guess now. But given the fact that the cop needed to shoot this guy it tells me that any witnesses may have been in over their heads in trying to subdue this maniac.
