Jesse Armstead ~ Interesting Comments
Read this whole article. Seems Jesse knows what was wrong with the Spurrier coached tea. And it wasn't Spurrier, he is pointing to Captain Dan.

"We had one time where we went to a meeting and Coach Spurrier was like, 'Fine this guy and fine that guy for not being at the meeting.' Well, we had to tell him, 'Coach, those guys already got cut. They're in their cars going home,'"Armstead said.
man, can you beleive that, the coach didnt know a player was cut...

But to go back to the original point, Armstead seems to be pointing out Dan Snyder, not Spurrier, he said he liked spurrier

I wonder how long it took for Danny to see what a space cadet Spurrier really was. Perhaps that's why he was left in the dark on some things.

Matty, you're blaming Spurrier? The only person that should be cutting players is the Head Coach. He didn't know the players got cut because Danny and Vinny boy were wielding the axe. Definitely not something you see in a first class organization.

The problem with Spurrier was that he never wanted to attend those player personnel meetings. It's not that he was kept in the dark it's that he chose to be. In his mind, all that personnel stuff was not his responsibility. He was just there to coach football

I'm not blaming Spurrier for not knowing, I just got a little sidetracked. As SS said, he was just there to coach, personnel was up to the FO.
There was plenty to blame him for though. |

Spurrier could be a successful coach. I promise you that.
edit: One day I'll be a successful speller! |
