JLC Insider-Byner Returns

http://blog.washingtonpost.com/redsk...b_is_back.html

So all but Saunders (x2), Lazor & Williams will be back among assistants. Ladies and gentlemen, I give you, continuity.

In related news, NASA reports the sky has not fallen.

Seriously, a chick will slap you in a heart beat if you call her that.

I mean, good news.

This is good news. Byner has done an excellent job with CP, Betts and Sellers over the past few years.

Ok, I guess thats good news. I like Byner but how can you judge if a running backs coach is doing a good job? We pretty much knew what CP was about when he came here. Betts did a great job in 2006 but not much this year. Sellers is the beef and runs the short stuff but are we getting the best from these three guys. We have been having some fumble problems. What else does a running back coach do?

Was it just me or did it seem like Sellers left his feet WAY too often on short runs this past year? It seemed like he was frequently tried to jump over the pile instead of bulldozing his way through it, and a few times is cost us those extra inches (ie, the beginning of the Minnesota game).

I think we need to start looking for a replacement for Sellers this season. I'm not saying I necessarily think he's slowing down, but he's getting old and we need a replacement in the event that he is injured again.

Isn't there some guy in the practice squad that they were high on? I forgot his name, I think they activated him early in the season for a game or 2. He had dreadlocks.

I thought it was Mason (Marcus is his first name, if I recall correctly).

I think they keep hoping it will be Nehemiah Broughton

Do the Pro Bowl rosters have an IR? If so, he's a lock!
