Who Should We NOT Re-Sign?
Cartwright, Collins Among 16 Free Agents
There are plenty of threads about who we should sign, but who can we do without? |

Re: Who Should We NOT Re-Sign?
Brunell should have been gone a long time ago.. If it's Fassel then Kerry Collins will be the back-up QB..

Re: Who Should We NOT Re-Sign?
We can do without Brunell, DeMulling, Pucillo, Stoutmire, Nemo, Macklin, Kozlowski, and if Saunders isn't retained, Collins may as well go too.

Re: Who Should We NOT Re-Sign?
that looks about right. i wouldn't mind keeping macklin though. and brunell is about as good off the bench as any other veteran qb we could pick up.

Re: Who Should We NOT Re-Sign?
In my opinion, and even though it "Can't Be Done", I'd not re-sign the owner.
Everyone says Dan Snyder is a financial genius, but the guy would have to be the dumbest man alive to break up the 'Skin's coaching staff, hire an outsider, throw the progress that has been made out of the window, and incite the hatred of his team's fan base. Continuity and progress go hand in hand. Dan Snyder should KNOW that! I don't know what Dan has on his mind, but I'd really like to know how long he thinks the fans are going to support the Redskins FINANCIALLY if he dumps Greg Williams in favor of an outsider. The 'Skins have a huge fan base in Maryland. Those Marylanders just might decide to become Ravens Fans. If Dan has ONE working brain cell left in his head, I hope that he will realize the folly of looking outside the organization, and do the right thing by his team. The 'Skins don't need another "Head Coach", they have coaches enough. Let Greg Williams run the defense or name him as head coach who ALSO runs the defense, and keep everybody that they now have. We all know that an owner can do virtually anything he wants, but when one becomes the owner of the Redskins, he takes on a responsibility to the community that supports the team. If he can't live up to that responsibility, then perhaps its time for Dan to sell. |

Re: Who Should We NOT Re-Sign?
Okay, if you can have Mark Brunell or Kerry Collins as your backup QB, and you choose Kerry Collins, I think you need to send Vinny a check for $30 and a written 300 word apology.
Kerry Collins blows.

Re: Who Should We NOT Re-Sign?
I don't think that this team needs anyone other than Prioleau and Rock from that list. Maybe Fabini for the purposes of depth. However, I only care if they re-sign those two.
I would be in favor of, in the interest of continuity, keeping one of the QB's, but I don't think getting another young backup would be the worst idea in the world. |

Re: Who Should We NOT Re-Sign?
I use to always get excited whenever Rock made it on the roster out of training camp. However every year I was almost certain that Rock would get cut, especially when guys like Lamar Marshall were getting cut. I just expected Rock to be cut at some point. However after his performance on special teams the past few years I think its safe to say that The Rock...... is here to stay if ya smellllllllllllll!!!
Oh and Mark Brunell for zee cut.

I would like to keep Rock but he's looking for a payday. Bye Rock, hello Betts/Thrash.
