Anyone Else Notice the Burgundy Bloom?

I seen guys at a local watering hole and everywhere yesterday wearing their Burgundy and Gold. Heck some I didn't even know were Redskins fans but now they got a brand new sweatshirt or dug something out of their closet.

I live 20 miles South of DC and yes there are a lot of Skins fans but not as many as now are blooming burgundy. If we lose a couple they'll be throwing their stuff back in the closet.

I rock my gear win or lose. Heck after a loss I head to the local pub to take my fair share of abuse...cus I will abuse yer Team when we win.

Just a local observation is all. Anyone else notice the same thing?

Hail Redskins!
peace to you guys

Everyone at my college has been supporting them from game 1. I would agree that if they started losing you wont see as many but to start they're there!

Re: Anyone Else Notice the Burgundy Bloom?

I completely agree SBF. Some skins fans only break out their gear when they do well and I think its so lame. I wear my gear all the time and both my wife and I's cars both have skins plates that we have had for years. I hate those fairweather people that only wear it when they are doing well. Don't be a closet fan. I don't think anyone on this forum fits this description. HTTR.

No problems here in Austin, TX with seeing burgundy and gold except when I sport it!

You got another compadre here. I just moved from Baltimore about 4 months ago, but I was in enemy territory there too, so what else is new?

Living in Harrisburg, I'm surrounded by Eagles fans. What's really great is NOT SEEING any Eagles hats, shirts or other Birds garbage since the start of the season. 0-2 will do that to them, especially when they see it might be getting worse!

I used to live in Harrisburg. Find out where Chris James (93.5 WTPA fm) is going to be on gameday and you can bet the Skins will be on! Even if the Steelers fan club is present, he always made sure the game was on one of the tv's!

It happens all the time. Happened in 2005 too. It's all Garnet and Black down here in Columbia, SC though. These people freaking love Steve Spurrier, go figure.

They only beat Georgia about once every seven years so, it's hard to blame them. Clemson is still better, though. They don't refuse admission to any NCAA qualified athletes (and probably several that aren't).
