Re: SI: The Final Cut
Not good. Great.
I'm glad that he had good things to say about the FO. Given his situation, they could have come off badly. I thought it was good form to delay his cutting until he could get an MRI for his injuries - seems basic, but I wonder if every franchise would do the same.

Re: SI: The Final Cut
He definitely has a career in writing if he wants, I felt like I was the one getting cut. It must be so depressing to hear that door slam shut on his NFL career. I wish him the best, he seems like a classy guy.

Re: SI: The Final Cut
I read this yesterday and I must say that I now believe that Pete Kendall would have gotten the second highest Wunderlich score on the team.
I think that SI might have been a little disappointed that Snyder didn't have horns in the story. He actually came off well.

Great piece. I know that his gobigrecruiting.com site has gotten a lot of buzz in recent weeks. He could have a real hit on his hands there.

Re: SI: The Final Cut
I thought Gibbs and company sat down with players before releasing them? I know it's a business but you aught to at least give a man a sit down before cutting him.

Re: SI: The Final Cut
He was called in to hear it from the coach. Some franchises don't do that.

Re: SI: The Final Cut
I think as long as the news comes from your position coach at the very least, it's appropriate.

Re: SI: The Final Cut
I know some people boycott Dr. Z's columns, but there was a blurb about the column in his mailbag pretty much echoing the positive feedback he's getting on this site.

Re: SI: The Final Cut
Really well done. Nice read, Tucker seems to be a class act. Nice to know some guys just understand when there time is up.

Wow, what a rare piece to read. Great writing style, and it makes you really feel for the guy. Like Matty said, he's definitely got a career in writing ahead of him.

Re: SI: The Final Cut
A great read and I hope this man goes very far in life. It sounds as if he has a great family that will support him in his endeavors, no matter what they may be. I know that both of my boys, ages 15 and 10, already fear the "turk" in their young football "careers."
