Could Portis be implicated by Vick?

I have no idea if theres any substance to this,but after Portis's comments,it seems like this is no big deal to him,I dont know if portis is involved in dogfighting,but i wouldnt put it past him.I've read that Vick might end up not doing anytime depending on how many names he gives up,and the feds are going to try and get as many big names as possible,I find it hard to believe that Vick would be the only nfl player involved,and if theres others he knows about he will probably give them up to shorten his sentence

There's no reason to suspect Portis of anything. He made some ill-advised comments trying to be funny. That is all. To speculate in this way is silly.

His comments are the reason to ask the question. Perhaps he was trying to be funny the first time, but his comments on the NFL network, which were intended to put a band-aid on the first comments, only compounded the problem and led me to believe that his attitude towards dog fighting closely resembles Vick’s as opposed to the popular attitude towards it. I have no doubt about that. I also think it’s not far fetched to question how many dog fighting events he has been too. If he knows where they are, then why cant we consider the possibility that he has been to them

There is now way Vick rats out any high profile player. I am sure his intention is to get back into the game. It’s going to be difficult enough to gain acceptance into a locker room. Imagine what it would be like if he rats out players.

Dude that is classic. And to the starter of thsi post why would you even ask this question? After all the negetaive press this has gotten the Falcons do you really want to hear Portis implicated here. I think the mods should close this thread. I wondered that myself. I know Portis was just trying to be funny, but you have to wonder if he said that at the time not knowing the seriousness of the situation. Who knows if he's innocent or guilty. I'd put my money on innocent, it's just his comments make you wonder whether he has been to dogfights before. Also I heard DMX's house got raided and that several pitbulls were taken from his, so that also makes me wonder whether he is involved in dogfighting too. I'm sure these big names will be revealed once Vick starts snitching, so over the next few months we'll probably start seeing exactly what big names are involved in this.

Might as well keep the gossip goin, I heard the authorities where DMX lives(i wanna say phx, az)came to his property earlier and found malnourished pit bulls but gave him a chance to get them healthy and fix the living conditions. They came back to his property a week or two later and nothing had changed so now he's facing charges. Just the rumor I heard.

I'm sure Clinton Portis has seen a dogfight at some point in his life, but there's a very big gap between watching a dogfight and being a major player in dogfighting.

IF any NFL player is implicated by Vick, I would think it would be a former Hokie that has been with Vick for a long time. However, I think the type of people the Feds are looking for are the interstate gambling ring operators not the retarded spectators.
