Worst Off-season?
In keeping with the best off-season, who did you think had the worst off-season?
I have to say the Bills. They lost their top 3 players and overpaid for an average guard. What the hell were they thinking. What you guys think?

Re: Worst Off-season?
Bills are a good choice. Colts lost a couple of key guys in Cato June and Nick Harper (though neither is really irreplacable. Chargers hired Norv Turner, which I'll never understand.
But, and I know this isn't based necessarily on "football decisions" but I can't begin to imagine how the Broncos are coping with losing two players to untimely, tragic deaths.

Re: Worst Off-season?
Tie: Bills, Green Bay & Atlanta... meh, the Giants didn't do anything so they get to be put there too.

Re: Worst Off-season?
I think it was the Colts...they sat on their super bowl trophy during the offseason. I suppose they feel 1 is good enough for now, cause even with Peyton I don't see them repeating now.

Re: Worst Off-season?
I'll go Chicago Bears:
1) Lowballed Lovie Smith for a while before finally caving and paying him. Why mess with the guy if you're going to end up paying him anyway? 2) Let Ron Rivera go without hardly batting an eye. He orchestrated that awesome D, and is now merely the LB coach in San Diego. WTF????? 3) Let Thomas Jones get away, and are now going to rely solely on oft injured, fairly unproven Cedric Benson, who apparently isn't a locker room favorite either. They didn't get the memo that it's a two-back league. 4) Tank Johnson got suspended 8 games 5) The whole Lance Briggs fiasco- I'm not even gonna start on that 6) They signed Archuletta!! HAHA 7) They lost the Super Bowl- never good for teams the following season My runner-ups: Miami, Buffalo, Atlanta, Pittsburgh Here's a good article discussing this exact topic: FOX Sports on MSN - NFL - Worst to first: Ranking the NFL off-seasons

Re: Worst Off-season?
Detroit probably. They took a receiver at No. 2 overall, and now will spend three years testing out Drew Stanton before eventually moving on.
Bills are a good pick too. That team has no plan. |
