How good will Da Bears D be the first half of next season?
Well unfournutately for us, we play the bears on the 13th game, but there is a possibility that the bears will not have two of their star defenders the first half of next season. Tank Johnson might be suspended up to 8 games, and I forget how many games this is, but Lance Briggs will only play in the minimum amount of games to get his franchise money, which is under half. Ian Scott left, Tommy Harris is comming off a season ending surgery, Alex Brown is unhappy with his situation in Chicago, and Adam Archuletta was the only free agent addition to the D. How good will they be next year?

Lots of ifs, ands, and buts here. Trust me, the Redskins will have to bring their 'A' game against the Bears. I don't care if Archuletta lines up at quarterback.
I can't even remember the last time their defense was an issue. Generally it's their offesnive that's the issue, and I would expect 2007 to be no different. As long as Lovie is running things, expect the Bears to be pretty dominant on defense. |

Just like in 2005, it's going to be another defensive battle. I can't see the Bears putting up a lot of points on us.

The one thing I no is players are jumping or trying to jump off the bus over there as quick as they can. Other than that I could care less about there defense.
We will beat the Bears at home!

Re: How good will Da Bears D be the first half of next season?
I'm not all that worried about the Bears. I could be wrong but they don't really seem like dynasty material to me. Someone who is much less lazy than I can fly in here and give us the records of SB losing teams over the last twenty years or so. They tend to flop, if I am not mistaken.
The Redskins season will hinge on their record in the division. I would like to see them do what they did in 2005 and sweep the home games and go 2 for 3 on the road. We must find a way to win in NY. Especially since we have the Jets there as well. Winning two at the Meadowlands would be an enormous confidence boost after what's happened there the last two seasons. If they can get those 5 wins, they should be able to get to 11 wins overall without much trouble. In 2005 they lost all four AFC games and still got to 10 wins, so 11 or even 12 is doable. This is the year. Now is the acceptable time. Let's get fired up. 40 men together can't lose, etc., etc., etc.

Re: How good will Da Bears D be the first half of next season?
The Bears could very well be 4 and 4 with loses to the Chargers, Cowboys, Eagles, and Chiefs (or one other team...). I'd be surprised to see them better than 5-3. They could also easily be 3-5 in the second half of the season with loses to the Seahawks, Broncos, Giants, Redskins, and Saints. There offense will need to take a step forward for them to repeat last years feat.

Re: How good will Da Bears D be the first half of next season?
The Chicago defense will regress this season a reasonable amount. After all, its nearly impossible to sustain defensive dominance for three years running, and this team is thinning itself in the defensive interior. They will still be good though, but our O will put points up against them. At least two TDs.

Re: How good will Da Bears D be the first half of next season?
Let Ian Scott walk, and Tank Johnson might get suspended.
In the big picture, thats neither here nor there because its just simply unlikely that they can remain in the top 5 another year. Defense is a very inconsistent entitiy year to year. Just ask Gregg Williams.
