Maybe you can help...
I was watching the NFL channel about a year ago, and they did a piece on the meanest Sob's to ever play the game. One guy sticks out in my memory, but I can't remember his name. I do remember that he had a towel that he kept with him that had the QB's jersey number for all the teams we was playing that year. He would hit them late, early or inbetween plays, and then would cross the number off his towel. Do you remember who it is? I want to do some research on him and find some videos, hope you can help.

Re: Maybe you can help...
Sorry, unless it's Dick Butkus? I can't remember what I did last night, not to mention a year ago?

Did he play for the Packers?
I remember an NFL films story about an old Packers player who was hated around the league. The funny thing was that in his interview (some years after he retired) he came off as a nice old guy.

Re: Maybe you can help...
Someone once asked Conrad Dobler about his family and something about kids and the subject turned somehow to vasectomies. This was several years ago so I really don't remember exactly how the conversation evolved...
However, Dobler said something then that I always thought was a summary of this guy who was thought to be the dirtiest - if not the meanest - player in the NFL. I never got a vasectomy but I gave a lot of vasectomies. Earlier in the interview he had talked about biting opponents in the pileups and so the imagery here is rather graphic. FWIW

Re: Maybe you can help...
I could be the steeler listed above, my mind wants to say it was a black jersey. I just remember the towel with about 12 numbers on them. As he crushed them, he would cross the number off. The hit they showed on TV was right after a play and the offense was almost back in the huddle.......WHAM...big smile, went to the sideline and crossed off his number. That's mean.
