Eric Steinbach or Derrick Dockery?
I have seen on many free agent articles that Eric Steinbach is the best rated free agent guard on the market. We all know that Derrick Dockery is going to test the free agent market - so the question is what should the FO do - resign Derrick Dockery for the sake of conitunity or go after Eric Steinbach?

Re: Steinbach or Dockery?
I think Dock is a better fit here and for the sake of continuity I really hope we re-sign him.

It will probably be better all the way around to sign Dockery. He will come cheaper, he knows the offense and the other lineman are lobbying for him already.

Re: Steinbach or Dockery?
Keep Dockery, he's been here and it shows the players that are here that the team is willing to build from within and not always going for a free-agent. The Redskins have the persona of a team that doesn't keep their own players. If Gibbs and Co. are trying to change the identity of this franchise then keeping our own players is one thing that has to be done. I understand that there has to be a weeding out process at times but for the most part keeping our guys together is the best thing. So I say hold onto Dock and keep this line together.

Re: Steinbach or Dockery?
Samuels I guess has already offered to restructure his contract to free up the $ for Dockery.

Keep Hickory Dickory Dock. He'll be a better value.

Re: Steinbach or Dockery?
Dockery will resign. It's important we keep this line together. Dock is one of the most improved players on the team.

Re: Steinbach or Dockery?
Yup, everyone always wants to give him crap, but he's been a GREAT guard for us over this year.

He still has big problems in pass pro (as does Rabach and Jansen, at least this year), but it's tough to argue with what we've done on the ground this year without Portis.

Re: Steinbach or Dockery?
Jansen has been playing hurt most of the season, I think it's a little premature to write him off and start looking for a replacement. Jansen is as solid as they come, and he's a great team guy.

Re: Steinbach or Dockery?
Keep the continuity of the Dirtbagz. We've only given up 18 sacks this season, and Ladell has looked like a star running thru those holes. In a season of pure disappointment, they have been one of the few bright spots on the team. Their continuity is imperative
