If you were in Vegas and wanted to bet on the skins

My brother is going to Vegas Thursday until Monday. I was thinking about giving him a $20 and having him place a bet on the skins saints game. As of right now, I believe the line is Saints by 10.5.
If you were forced to bet on this game, how would you bet? Im thinking of taking the Skins to cover the spread. I don't think they lose by more than 10.5 points, however they don't really have much to play for anymore. What do you guys think? and Why?

I think 10.5 is a ridiculous line. We haven't been getting blown out this year and 10.5 is a blowout line. I'd take those points ASAP.

I'd not bet on this game...2 unpredictabale teams...skins, if they don't turn the ball over, could keep it close...but even if we protect the ball, the saints could LIGHT us up - re: cowboys...

our D is simply not good, while the saints O, is...colston, bush, duece, henderson and horn...yikes...while rogers did a great job against the panthers big reciever mr. johnson, he got beat against philly- he seems to stuggle against speed, which is what the saint have in abundance...not a good matchup
in our favor is that betts is running well, and the saints D is nothing special, however, why will that be enough when it hasn't been the past 2.

as for the ABSURD claim above: did you pay attention this season- while at some point, all the games were "close", ummm we lost to the cowboys by 17, the giants by 16, colts by 14, Eagles by 24, and the falcons by 10...while i would admit these didn't feel like blowouts, the Final score- which is all that matters with spread bets- indicates that the Skins do in fact get blown out (nfl standards)- regularly.

Same here. I don't bet money but I play in picks pools (and always do well, won last year...) and I ALWAYS pick the underdogs when the line is HUGE...unless it's a team like Indy when playing well or San Diego right now against a weak defense.

10.5 is a big line, but it seems like whenever I think that and take the points this year the favorite always covers.

If the New Orleans from Monday Night shows, we'll get toasted. Brees and that offense are unstoppable right now.

If they have a letdown and we play the game of our lives... who knows.

So Matty would take the Saints to cover?

I don't know why you need your brother to go to vegas to bet on the skins game. Just go to Bodog.com. I have an account and bet on football and esp. basketball quite often.

Bodog had New Orleans -10. If you figure the 3 points given to the home team its basically NO by a touchdown which seems reasonable. Their offense is hot and our secondary shows up depending on the week. Thats a tough bet. I like the over/under which is 45. I think that over 45 will be reached easily. If the game is close its likely to be high scoring because I don't see our defense giving up anything less than 21. On the otherhand if NO blows us out by posting 42 like last week, all the Skins need is one TD to go over 45. Bet the over and the points is tough. I'd bet NO to cover the 10.

Our secondary is in a very looooooooooooooooooooooooong day. Saints could get 45 all by themselves. It's a real bad match-up for us. I'll take NO and the over. Shoot, that sounds like a great parlay and tease.

Huge trap game for the Saints--very primed for a letdown. I'd actually bet the adjusted line prop---say Skins +4.5. That way you'd get better than even money if the Skins keep it close (probably around 2.80 on the dollar). You're $20 bet would pay out $56...

Re: If you were in Vegas and wanted to bet on the skins

Take the Saints to cover, and take the over, like SkinsLove24/7 said.

NO is averaging 30 points a game since their bye, and have won 3 straight. Reggie Bush is starting to rise to the top, and they have 3 speedy receivers that will run the Skins secondary ragged.

The Skins only saving grace would be to pound the ball on the ground 50 times in hope of controlling the clock.
