F.... Night School
I gotta take that ish in February-March because i was absent on the day that we were supposed to turn in our 11th grade research papers last year. Now because I didn't turn mine in, I have to take the 45 hour research paper tutorial to graduate in June. If i had turned it in and simply failed it, I would've only had to do the 20 hour research paper tutorial, which my english teacher was offering after school. Instead I have to pay 175 bucks to do the 45 hour tutorial in night school so i can graduate in June.

Re: F.... Night School
nah, they had some strict ass deadline that it must be turned in on the due date, no excuses.
@Ghettodog: man that really sucks. I feel for ya. At least mine is only two classes a week for like 2 months. @BSB: I know man, i gotta do this, there's no way i want to graduate any later than June. @jbcjr: lol thanks. I'm just glad i'm not taking like a full course. My friend is taking geometry for night school and he's been doing that shit for a while now and he said it's not gonna be finished until the end of january. |

Re: F.... Night School
I didn't know high schools had night school.
I thought it was "pass or summer school for you". |

mooby, that's nothing a little hell-raising can't fix. The more hell you raise, eventually they just get over it and let it slide.

Let me tell you a tale... When I was in high school, I transferred my senior year to a crowded school. Because it was so crowded, the work-leave program was full before the year began -- before I even transferred. So, I basically had no chance to get into the program. Because it was my senior year, I only needed a few credits and the rest of my schedule was filled with junk credits that I didn't need. This really sucked, because if I was in the work-leave program I wouldn't have to be in those classes, and I could just leave school mid-day. Since it was stupid to be taking unnecessary credits, my dad asked me to setup an appointment for him to speak with my asst. principal. When I talked to her about an appointment, she tried to avoid it in every way. She told me to have him call her. So, I told my dad that she wanted to talk on the phone. He said that was unacceptable -- he wanted to meet in person. After I told her that he wanted to meet in person, she fixed everything (without ever meeting or speaking to my dad). She created an entirely new class, just for me. I was the ONLY person in the class, and we met in the teacher's office. It was the teacher's break period, and I just did work from my other classes and helped her with her computer -- and because teachers got paid per class, she was basically getting paid to take her break. Talk about a win-win situation! I never had to do a single piece of the required work that was associated with the work-leave class (i.e.: timesheets, watching dumb videos, essays, etc.). All of this just so my asst. principal could avoid a confrontation with my dad! I'm still laughing about this one!

@Buster: prince william county has every possible means to get a student to pass. I had to take summer school after the end of last year to pass geometry, and that was fargin hell too. summer school, night school, stay after school, they will try to get you to pass any way possible. shit, you could probably take night school in the summer if you wanted to. @dallas-blows: not when it starts at 5 in the afternoon and ends at 8:30. That gives me like 3 hours to chill after school ends before i'm back in it. I'd rather have it start at like 8 and end at 11:30. |
