F Trig
I just took a precalc test this morning on two of the 3 trig chapters in our book. I think I did okay, but is there anything else in the world as unnecessarily difficult? Mostly because I have a bad teacher, but damn...how does
tan2x = 2tanx/(1-(tanxtanx))...who the fuck realized this? Whoever it was, I hope they died a slow painful death. |

Re: F Trig
I actually don't mind math itself, I just need a teacher who doesn't suck. I got the stuff after I read the book, but damn...I was memorizing so many formulas it was like taking a history exam.

As Jimmy Buffett sings from time to time:
"Math sucks (math sucks) Math sucks (math sucks) You don't even have to spell it, all you have to do is yell it Math sucks (math sucks) Math sucks (math sucks) Sometimes I think that I don't know that much--But math sucks!"

Re: F Trig
Stats is a bitch. The first stat class I ever took was a 300 level class and was a required degree course. I must say though, once you're brain "gets it" you are set.

Re: F Trig
heh, don't go into electronic/electrical engineering then
once you take calc you can learn to figure out all the formula's from each other (if you want), so it's possible to memorize almost nothing and still be able to get all the answers. You've got be real careful to understand how to play with the equations without changing their meaning though. |

Re: F Trig
Oh man, FM was a real bitch especially in grad school. I really had to work my tail off in that class. Quite a few people had to take it over.
