Sympathies to Tiger and his family

Tiger's father Earl Woods passed today at the age of 74. He was instrumental in the success of the world's best golfer and has had a tremendous impact on lives in California through charities and junior golf.

RIP Earl. This must be a big loss for Tiger, his dad was his inspiration. I wouldn't be suprised if he goes on a run because of this. This will really motivate him.

I was just thinking that this could really motivate him and he would just dominate the rest of the year. These are the kinds of things that make a world class professional athlete dig deep inside and just own the sport they are in.

Here's to the great man behind a great man. RIP Earl.

Regardless of what Tiger does from now on, he's had one of the greatest careers in Golf.

Very sad too see. I really like watching Tiger, and you could tell from him talking about his dad, that this is a grave loss for him. Very sad.

First black man to play baseball in the Big Eight, Green Beret. He was a lot of things before he became "Tiger's Dad"

Re: Sympathies to Tiger and his family

I lost my mother last June to ovarian cancer. She was only 56 years old.

I miss her everyday.

I know what Tiger's going through.
