Bringing all the Redskin Boards together in one place! As a Huge fan of the Redskins, my fellow Redskin Brothers, Sisters, and a Big Ole week long party, what better place could you spend your vacation time than New Orleans in 2006. This is going to be our Main Event! If you were in AZ for 2005 with the 20 thousand other Redskin fans, then you know how big this party is going to be. We will be adding additional events to the list this year, and days that things will be going on. We will have loads more info on this event as we get the feedback we have requested from the city. Here is the official word on Game Tickets, so write this down! We have an official account number set up to put all of us together this year, and the plan is to be right down on the field, in the end zone where we plan to score numerous times that day. 1. Ticket account number is 1116988. 2. Your contact person is Christina {A secret agent [Redskins Fan] working for the New Orleans ticket office} Her phone number is 504-731-1871, and make sure to ask for her just in case someone else answers the phone. 3. Christina will be contacting us in the next week to let us know how many, and where there will be seats. They will be in large groups, and be in a few places in and around the field. 4. The Tickets go on Sale, April 24th, yes 8 days I know, for this game. I’m sure people will have some time though to get their tickets. 5. This year you will call the office yourself, give our account number, and the number in your party, and “BAM” New Orleans is happening! I can’t think of a better way to spend some money on the Skins, help put money back in to the community of New Orleans with their rebuilding, and watch a good ole fashion Ass Whooping at the same time with people who all love the same thing as you, the Washington Redskins. Definately interested. My dad, brother and I are trying to make it to a game in DC(first time ever!). so if that doesnt work out, I might go by myself to NO.

Re: Dec. 17th 1:00 pm EST Washington @ New Orleans
Just a quick post with an update on New Orleans tickets.
It seems New Orleans has been making a push to fill season ticket holders, and they have had the largest increase in sales in years. This is great news for the city, however not so good news for us. Our initial purchase of the twenty tickets was supposed to happen this past Monday, however we are being told that this is going to be put back a bit as sales for season tickets are at an all time high, and the “Boss” says ALL group sales for single games are on hold. We will now be talking to them almost daily until we have the green light. We have our twenty tickets spoken for by you guys, so the minute we get the word tickets are on sale, we will make the purchase, send out emails to all of the first twenty people, and get the tickets to you. Last season we put together the road game to AZ. Our initial purchase was around 50 tickets. I think we ended up getting 78 tickets in all, which was all we could get. Many of you [around another 50 requests] came in the last week before the game for tickets to that game. There was maybe another 200 people who also knew we were going to be there, joined our huge tailgate party, and had bought their own tickets in and around the stadium. While we had a major showing in AZ, there were still many people who missed that game because they waited until the last second. If you think you may want to go, but you want to wait, don’t. Get a ticket, and if you can’t go let us know, and we will help you get it sold. I fully expect some of the same from last year, and I know we will have people wanting tickets last minute. I’ll update everyone the minute we make the group purchase. |

Re: Dec. 17th 1:00 pm EST Washington @ New Orleans
Heads up Fans!
Initially I was under the impression that a group rate was not going to be available, however I am now being told that if we can buy 20 tickets right off the bat, that we will indeed get a group rate, and every ticket purchased afterwards will get that group rate as well. [You have to use our account number] Since we are pushing on all the Redskin sites to come together for this event, and I am trying to keep this info in one place, I have a simple request. If you can be one of the first 20 people to confirm 100% for sure you are down for helping us meet this small goal, please send me an email with “Confirmed Tickets” in the subject, with a small note on how many, to chubakah@redskin-roadtrips.com As soon as we have our number, I will update all of the threads, and everyone else who wants to wait for a while can do so before purchasing their tickets. I will send out an email to each of the first 20 tickets, so that we can seal the deal with New Orleans. Before you ask, I have no idea how much of a discount this will even be, but I figure if I save 5 bucks, it’s 10% of a keg of BEER! |

A quick hit on Expedia says around $225 roundtrip from BWI, around $275 from Dulles, and around $260 from National. (TMC - About $320 from Roanoke, about $375 roundtrip from Charlottesville and $475 from Lynchburg).
I would assume a bit cheaper on Southwest and AirTran, but unsure because it's too far out.

Nice. Good lookin' out to actually check places near me. $320 from Roanoke isn't bad at all if the fiancee doesn't go.

Yeah, that's my problem. Wife would be hellapissed if I left her behind, and with it being so close to Xmas, I don't want to find a shitload of coal in my stocking.

True, but it's one of those things that you really just wanna' do by yourself. My fiancee just wouldn't enjoy it as much as I would and obviously it would cost twice as much.
Even though I'd probably find a lump of coal up my ASS if I went.

Last season we did AZ on the 12th of Dec. I was suprized at the amount of couples that came together. I actually brought along my lady as well. IMHO New Orleans is a lot like Vegas in that, what happens in NO, stays in NO.
In other words, the wife is staying home this year. |

Re: Dec. 17th 1:00 pm EST Washington @ New Orleans
The latest on New Orleans 5-3-06 As posted in the last update we were told we would have to wait for a while due to the amount if season tickets that were being sold. I’m sure you also heard that the Saints signed Reggie Bush. We spoke to the New Orleans ticket office yesterday, and were told that season tickets are still selling like hotcakes, and that the area we had hoped to reserve, is just about gone to the new ticket holders. This means there is a very good chance that our area to be in a group may be moving. I don’t want to speak out of turn right now, so I will give you the latest info next Monday, when we were told to call them back. |
