Jason La Canfora, of the Washington Post, reports free agent LB Keith Adams (Eagles) visited the Washington Redskins Friday, April 7, according to his agent. He is expected to decide between the Redskins and four other teams by next week.

apparently we're still in the running... two of the other teams are the cards and the raiders.

agreed. i think we would do better either using someone already on the team or getting someone through the draft

Sign Adams, and draft a MLB. That would be the idea situation.

If they go that route, they need to move Marshall back outside because Jackson is an ILB and having 2 guys playing out of position is just not a good idea, IMO.

i wouldnt call marshall at MLB playing out of position anymore. he was great last year so he is now a true MLB id say.

That's a good point, but I unless we move him outside, I don't want Jackson playing out of position. That's more why I don't know that Jackson fits here

Re: Redskins | K. Adams visited team

What if they get Adams, sign Holdman and draft an LB in the second. Then they have turned another area of "weakness" into a strength.

I cannot emphasize enough how impressed I am with the offseason. The only true weakness that I see is at QB and as long as Brunell is healthy, they will be fine. All I keep hearing is how old he is. Well guess what. He is younger than Rich Gannon was when he had his best years and the talent on that Raiders team wasn't on the same map as this team.

I really think that they are ready for a special year.

I hope you're right, dude. While I personally liked Brunell's performance last season, there was a noticeable dropoff near the season's end thanks to injuries sustained by him and other key players on offense. It's also important to remember that whereas Gannon had spent many years as a journeyman around the league (many of those seasons were spent as a backup), Brunell spent most of his career in Jacksonville, getting the snot beat out of him. I'm definitely rooting for the man, but I'm also a little worried that the years of beatings could take there toll on him by season's end.

Re: Redskins | K. Adams visited team

We definitely need a LB either with our 2nd round pick or possibly from free agency. I like Clemons and Khary Campbell in limited roles, but I'm not convinced that either is a starter. Now if McCune suddenly becomes comfortable with MLB, I could see Lemar Marshall switching back to WLB. . . which would make our defense completely wicked.

McCune won't be playing squat if we draft someone with more upside.
