no, i think he has a 2nd visit with the jags right now.

he wants the same deal peterson got (54mill, 18mill SB), but the seahawks were retarded for paying that much, and no one else was offering arrington or peterson NEARLY that much.

Re: has arrington signed anywhere yet?

I think he's crazy for thinking he's gonna get that, but godbless him for trying.
Always like Arrington, but there does come a time when the fraction of millions over playing time matters more. I hope he can turn his career around elsewhere and not opposed to him resigning here although I realize that's improbable. Love to see him excel in another system, but don't know if he's capable at this point. He seems much slower and over compensates whenver the play is from the line. GL Lavar and I'll never forget your time as a Redskin!

Re: has arrington signed anywhere yet?

right now jacksonville and miami are the two teams most interested in having him... lots of other teams are slightly interested (bengals, NYG, maybe SD or the browns). I'd guess jacksonville is probably going to give him the best offer, but i don't think anyone has tried to make a serious bid yet cause they know he's not getting what he thinks he's worth.

he's been out there so long that the chances of a big contract are much smaller now and he's probably lost money by not pressing for a deal. To get a huge deal now he'd have to drum up a bidding war between 2 of the few teams with plenty of money left to spend that would both be very interested in him. I don't see that happening, not to any major degree.

I read yesterday (in one of the fla. papers, can't remember which) that he's most interested in Miami, but of course he's asking for $6mil/yr. w/a double figure signing bonus. Seattle was crazy to give peterson what they did, but I think the second half of his bonus money comes in 2 years, so they may cut him by then. familiar story

I like Lavar and just wish he'd dump his ass-wipe agents. First they screw up his contract here and set up 2 seasons of discontent and then they work out a crazy deal to actually forgoe money to become a free agent and now he can't even a get a good deal like they told him he could. These guys are absolutely the worst agents in football. They are at least 50% responsible for him being gone.

Teams are interested, just are not paying what Lavar wants. Marvin Lewis was quoted saying that he would love to have Arrington, but only if his price comes down considerably.

If I were Arrington I would pay more attention to the system being run than the $$ because he needs to be in the right situation for him to be effective. If he goes to the wrong team and it doesn't work out he'll finish his career playing for 3 or 4 other teams.

Doesn't Jacksonville run a 3-4, I feel like that would be the best for him because it would allow him to do his own thing on the outside.

Wherever he goes, he's going to have to go to a place that let's him be him. This is a "can't teach an old dog new tricks" situation. He's not really up there in age, BUT he's been playing HIS way for far too long.
