Another D.Hall Thread.
Sorry, I don't usually start frivolous threads but I had to get this off my chest. Pro Football Focus rated D.Hall 184 out of 199 cornerbacks that saw regular action last year. Get this Kevin Barnes was ranked 187.
I might be drinking the Kool Aid, but I'd still rank Hall as a top 15-17 corner in this league. He's had his ups and downs, yes, but beyond the regular All Pro corners, I'm not convinced that DeAngelo Hall isn't a top 15 corner in this league. Who here disagrees with that and why? |

Re: Another D.Hall Thread.
Unless you're telling me he is cut in favor of a better starting CB, I'm not interested lol

Re: Another D.Hall Thread.
Blame Danny Boy and Vinny, they gave D Hall the money which should have been Carlos's extention. So we are stuck with him while Carlos is making pro bowls, playing on the premier NFL defense. oh well

Re: Another D.Hall Thread.
Hindsight is always 20/20. I don't recall anyone calling to extend Carlos everyone just complained about his drops his overall play not just his drops improved last year in SanFran. Dhall is far from great but he is a starter for us we have no better options out there for us right now, this will be addressed next year

I thought Carlos was solid...yeah he couldn't catch...but that's why he plays defense, have you seen the preseason, out entire defense has that issue. Also, I am sick of the DHall crap...I hate the way he runs his mouth and misses tackles....he blows coverage but mostly covers well. he obviously sucks as a nickle back and safety...why?....he can't tackle.

Re: Another D.Hall Thread.
Hall's reward/risk ratio per game is only positive if he creates at least one turnover IMO.

Re: Another D.Hall Thread.
Top 15? Damn that kool aid must be sweet.
If PFF has him 184, I tend to believe it. Is there a link to the entire list, I'd like to check it out. |

Re: Another D.Hall Thread.
Don't see Hall as one of the worst, but certainly not Top 15-17. He's #2 CB caliber IMO. Gives up way too much cushion (off-man) and can't recover the way he could a few years ago, also not physical enough to press, questionable tackling, questionable instincts. Without the top-end speed he had when he first came in....he's not the same guy.
