Marcus Mason not a lock to break the final 53

Just heard on the Zorn presser. Lot of interesting stuff said during his time at the podium. Mcmullen makes the final 53.

Last night was a huge opportunity for Mason and he didn't capitalize. There are bigger needs at other positions.

I think Heyer will play but more likely that Zorn is trying to light a fire under Jansen, who may be getting complacent.

That's too bad about Kelly. I thought he would be a bit contributor this year. Not looking that way right now. I'm still on the fence about McMullen

Ala the RI Link: The Skins will not make their roster public until Saturday's 4 p.m. deadline. Marcus Mason is not a lock at this point, but WR Billy McMullen essentially is, Zorn intimated.

That there is a possibility they might have to put Kelly on IR

I think it would be a mistake to cut Mason, if anything trade him. He's the NFL leading rusher during the pre-season, granted he played an extra game than all the other RB's.

I was talking to an Oklahoma fan recently who said that Kelly is soft when it comes to playing injured. Sounds like another WR with 1st round talent that we picked in the 2nd round when the OBC was here. I'm not saying that Kelly will flame out as badly as Taylor "The Ultimate Softy" Jacobs did, but I'm alarmed by the way this has played out in recent weeks.

Well when you have a swollen knee I'm not sure how that's his fault or him being soft. He just had surgery a few weeks ago, and if the knee isn't stable enough to go you have to shut it down.
