What happened to it?

Re: Running Game
Portis went from superhuman to merely good behind an offensive line that can be overpowered, and commits a lot of procedure penalties and takes itself out of good running situations consistently.

Re: Running Game
I think it's an important issue. Though the original post could have been better.

Re: Running Game
I'm watching the game right now on NFL Rewind, I really don't understand what Zorn is doing. I can understand if a good team stacking the box but this is the f'ing Lions. He is completely letting them dictate what he's doing. If they want to stack the box you don't abandon the run, you go with a two TE set all day long to get the f'ing running game going.

The only offensive success they have had all season has been in the passing game, including yesterday. They are bad up front, having Fred Davis in the game isn't going to change that. |

Zero rushing yards at halftime? Against the Lions?

You can't win with a patchwork inexperienced O-line in the NFL. I never. I mean never remembered a time where we could run the ball. When CP got holes he made big games. So I dont think its him. Liek I said in a post the other day. Get up run into a wall. Then open a door and see which one is easier. lol Say CP is the problem. If Betts plays he wont produce. Rock? Let's not go there. Mason and Alridge is what's left. SO CP is our best option. If anyoen thinks Betts can produce than they are dillusional. Just liek the peopel who want Todd Collins to start. Do you see the comparisons between the two. Both had decent seasons when they came in to fill in years ago. But they both are past their prime with no upside. This system isn't really built for either one of them. Betts or Collins. What a mess!! now that I think abotu it. I am about to get on teh Cerrato must go band wagon as I am typing this.

We're not going to win very many games if we can't get the running game cranked up. It's been embarrassing so far. |

But we either need to be a complete offense or a complete defense to compete with the struggles of the opposing unit. Right now, we're a one trick pony. And it's shaping up a LOT like the 2006 season. Except that team could run the ball.
