Oh the horror!!!

Too many damn injuries!!!

Campbell looked solid on that one play. Lets keep our fingers crossed because Collins couldn't backup an Arena League starter.

Re: Oh the horror!!!

Regarding the Portis injury. Is the left shoulder that same area he had problems with last year?

Re: Oh the horror!!!

Let's not get carried away.

Collins made some really bad decisions. Were they worse than that pass by Brunell? No.

Collins had a defender all over him every single play. Peyton Manning would look bad under those circumstances.

Takeaways: JC looks decent. The first team defense is disgusting (although Palmer wasn't in). Rocky is a tackling machine. If Portis isn't hurt too bad, everything is fine.

This is exactly what they need. I don't want to hear stupid comments about the Super Bowl if this is how the overall team responds.

I would disagree with you...Brunell looked good otherwise, his other throws were on target when he wasnt under pressure. that int was him trying to throw it out, but it doesnt matter, collins looks much worst. he throws 5 yard outs, and brunell is much more comfortable. Yeah the loss isnt a big deal, but collins sucks, and you cant run from that.

When Brunell had someone in his face, he looked like Collins.

I agree with this. Wake up call. ANd I agree about not getting carried away--it is the first game in preseason and we've only been in for a little while.

Main issue (beyond the obvious injury problems)--did we see any depth at Oline? Any other players step up? Kenny Wright didn't look too good. I liked Manny WHite on that one play.

I've never liked collins, he's a 3rd string qb at best, cut him!

Woah, i wouldn't go that far. He's here to help Brunell and Campbell learn the system, nothing more. That said, if he had to play a regular season game we'd probably suck.

Re: Oh the horror!!!

Collins was horrible. He was lucky that Smith didn't catch that one in the endzone or we'd be talking about how he threw 2 terrible INTs instead of one.

Re: Oh the horror!!!

Our first string offense actually looked quite good with the exception of brunell. Portis' only run went for 8yds when it looked like he should have had a loss. The o-line gave brunell adequate time on his throws. The receivers were getting open (lets not forget that AMAZING catch by lloyd which should have been easier had not brunell overthrown it a bit). Even Sellers got involved and got like three touches which were all positive. I think brunell should get more reps and work more because he does need to shape up some but I also think that he will look better as the preseason goes on.

The first string defense was downright dominating. I dont think they managed one first down and in fact it looked like a lot of their drives against our first team D ended in losses. I think we got three sacks on wright too. Thats quite impressive. Marcus was all over the place, springs looked great on his blitzes, and the D-line was getting good pressure and stuffing the run.

I mean we only really started looking bad after our starters went out. Its obvious that our back up offensive line is terrible and a lot of our backup secondary is too. I did like how Prioleau, McIntosh, and McCune played though. Really, my biggest concern from this game is Portis. I dont know HOPEFULLY he'll be ok.

Re: Oh the horror!!!

The 3 DB Stooges.

KWright -welcome to the team. Read the playbook and practice your fundamentals. I would cut you for the way you insulted yourself with that coverage tonite. P U.
Reed Doughty- Both in the scrimmage and Cinnci game you proved you would seem better to get a job in retail than represent the Skins Defense, absolute below mediocrity. You really stink.
Emanuel- Just arrived into town, Have you even practiced at all this summer? I saw you kicking rocks out there, would you like to play?

Re: Oh the horror!!!

Yeah Wright and Doughty looked horrible. Amazing that they've been at practice at all. Amazing to see a missing Ade matters! Doughty should be cut tomorrow. Where's Walt? (Harris) We're gonna miss Walt. Do the 'Others' have him?
