Poll: Biggest Redskins draft surprise
We went into the draft with a lot of hype and our name bandied about in virtually every draft preview linking us to Mark Sanchez.. Coming in, our needs were pass rushing DE, SLB, OL and depending on who you talk to, QB. It seemed to be pretty good chance that we would trade up for Sanchez or settle for one of the USC LB at #13 since Orapko and Oher would likely be gone. So looking back, what was the biggest surprise for you from this weekend?
A. That Orapko was there at #13 and we picked him B. That Oher was there at #13 and we didn't pick him C. That we didn't trade for Sanchez D. That we didn't draft any offensive linemen E. That we still have all of our 2010 draft picks

I'll go with E. I thought we might give up a mid-2010 pick.

But E of the choices.

Re: Poll: Biggest Redskins draft surprise
I just want to make sure we go into next year with our 1st, 2nd, and 3rd rounders intact (maybe the 4th).

Re: Poll: Biggest Redskins draft surprise
D. I would say A but that seemed like a small probability if a few picks were weird or a trade, but everybody said o-line was a need, even Zorn and the FO and they had 5 picks where it seemed (which is entirely based on kiper/mcshay btw cuz nobody really studies the game tape) that there was good value lineman available. I do expect Edwin Williams to make the team however so we'll get an o-lineman from this draft.

Re: Poll: Biggest Redskins draft surprise
D. we had the opportunity at both the third and fifth round to make Significant O-line additions and we didn't. Instead we went for the Weak side running back.

Re: Poll: Biggest Redskins draft surprise
D. NO offensive linemen. We need to adress the glaring needs of our team, not pickup camp fodder.

Re: Poll: Biggest Redskins draft surprise
I would go with A although I would rephrase it as, "The FO pulled off an excellent smoke screen which helped our targeted player to fall to us."

Re: Poll: Biggest Redskins draft surprise
I was more surprised by the o-linemen we passed on more than anything. Gotta go with D.
