Cold weather Super Bowls on the way

NY seems to be a lock right now for 2014, what do you guys think?

Re: Cold weather Super Bowls on the way

I like it alot. I have never been a fan of limiting the SB to warm weather climates and in-door stadiums. While the benefit may only be borne upon a small percentile chance, I hate the fact that the boys have a chance to play in a SB in their home stadium once every 10 or 15 years or so while the skins have zero chance of ever being host to a SB they are playing in.

Also, i like the idea of spreading the event around to all the nfl cities. why should the san diego or miami or arizona cities get the financial windfall? san diego as a city has been a horrible host and accomodator for the chargers to the point the chargers want out after san diego county failed to secure them decent new locations for the new stadium.

If it cuts the halftime show shorter, I'm all for it.

I just don't understand the argument against it. The playoffs can be in cold weather but not the Super Bowl? I say it's about damn time.

If NY gets it, then we better be getting one damn quickly behind.

He has to get the team out of Fed EX first. It's sad to say but the stadium is outdated with all of these new ones popping up all over the place. If you don't have a dome or warm climate, then you need one of these new state of the art deals before the owners will consider your bid for a SuperBowl. Fed EX Field just will not cut it.

It can't be more or less outdated then the Super Dome and it holds the most in the NFL, I would think it would be a prime location.

Plus concerned the amount hotel space in DC area, yeah it will heavily considered.

Doesn't matter most folks will be housed in DC, very few stadiums in the NFL are housed in the best part of town. If SB came here hotel rooms would be booked out to B-more and beyond.

I'm sure Detroit is not much of a pretty sight either...and while Indianapolis may be a nice city, it probably sucks in January.

Personally, I would keep the Super Bowl only in three cities: Miami, New Orleans, and San Diego.
