Re: Week 1 NFL
Lamar Jackson is just a glorified runner. Still a fucking sham he got MVP last year with stats not even in top 5 QBs. Just unreal.

Re: Week 1 NFL
I always laugh my ass off when people talk up Lamar Jax…he can’t throw the ball.
He’s Carmela Anthony of the NFL, the most overrated player in the NFL, maybe in my lifetime.

Re: Week 1 NFL
Lamar Jackson simply won't ever be able to throw the ball accurately enough to win a SB.
Flowers was wide open, he missed him by 5 yards.

Re: Week 1 NFL
This game would have been better in like week 7...both teams trying to figure out some new players. Lamar and that offense at times are just very frustrating to watch. I think they miss Greg Roman...he at least gave them an identity, now they don't have one other than....hey Lamar...do something great!

I hope KK was watching Ravens and not seeing a premonition of his offense

Re: Week 1 NFL
Yeah, I don't think JD will run nearly as much as we saw Lamar run last night. I also expect that JD will be more accurate with the ball. I'm hoping for about a 60/40 run/pass split, with JD running on occasion, and getting the ball out quickly so Terry, Luke and Company can make some plays.
Hopefully the D keeps it close. |

Re: Week 1 NFL
Take Lamar off the Ravens and they're a 500 team. For all his faults he's still a great player. Problem is he's not an elite player and the guy that plays for KC is. Great game though, Ravens still will be there fighting to make it to the SB in the AFC I think, but they're biggest problem is Patrick Mahomes.

Re: Week 1 NFL
I wonder if the Ravens will move on from Jackson or can they in the next few years? It's like he's a big reason why they're a really good team but he's also a big reason why they'll never win a SB with him. Tough spot to be in.

Re: Week 1 NFL

Re: Week 1 NFL
It depends on how you judge an elite player. To me the elite players are few and far between like Mahomes or Justin Jefferson. The best of the best. I don't put Lamar in that category. I did say Lamar is a great player, which I believe he is. But there's a difference between being a great player and an elite one.

Re: Week 1 NFL
The dude ran for 122 yards and threw for 275 or something like that last night. Yeah -- bad through missing Flowers, but this is a tough crowd.
Not sure I can agree with mredskins that KC was smoking B'more -- the Ravens had more first downs, more total yards (100 more) and rushing yards (185 rushing yards v. 72 for KC), better time of possession, better 3rd down conversion rate, and more sacks. But for some terrible clock management (is RR on their staff?) and a toe over the endzone, the Ravens could well have walked into Arrowhead and beat the champs. In all, great game and start to the season.

Re: Week 1 NFL
The Ravens may not be elite, but Lamar is not the reason for that

Re: Week 1 NFL
Mahomes is in another class all by himself
It’s ok to call LJ elite, multiple MVPs/all pros is elite He’s won nearly 75% of his regular season games, again pretty elite |
