Around the League Week 1

It’s finally here!

Wouldn’t mind see the Lions upset tonight

Think it will be a great opener tonight. Chris Jones and Kelce out are massive for KC. New offensive tackles for KC also and receivers. Sure it will no problem for Patrick lol.

I could not believe he went for that fake. About dropped my drink when that happened. Thought Detroit's offense would look better but only 1 half so far.

I have 2 guys on my radar as next head coach if Ron goes…one, Jim Harbaugh, and the other guy, OC for Lions Ben Johnson.

Of course EB if he works out as OC

I like the Lions but I doubt Goff is taking them very far. He's serviceable but that's it. They're going to have to upgrade if they want to be a contender.

Kudos to the lions, many of the so called experts ripped them during the draft (especially when they picked Gibbs having swift). Tonight 4 of their rookies were responsible for them winning.

I thought Goff played a great game last night - way beyond serviceable. I admit I was surprised but last night he played like somebody who can take the Lions a long way.

Im stuck in the middle of these two opinions but lean slightly more towards serviceable. He made a couple (maybe 3?) throws in desperate situations that kept drives alive. They were so soft though. Reminded me of Taylor throws. Easily could have been picked because they were soft. He also sailed a few. He definitely looked like more of a hindrance than a help. Held the ball way too long a few times too. The Lions defense looked surprisingly good but when one of the best offensive players is out and Toney drops more easy balls than most wr’s drop in a season I guess the opposing D is going to look good.

other than all the high throws, especially to Jones . . . he needs to clean that up or it will cost them.

NFC North is pretty wide open IMO. It will be fun to watch this Lions team.

It really is a wide open division. Think Chicago will definitely be improved and interested to see what GB looks like with Love. Vikings will be competitive also. Their passing game should be even better with Jordan Addison in the mix.
