Super Bowl week: around the NFL

I thought this was pretty interesting

Report: Chargers have “moved on” from Philip Rivers

As for this game, I'm kinda 50-50 on who I want to win.. I love Kyle and would like to see him start a legacy like his dad did, and I would also like Andy to get 1.

I just have this weird feeling that SF has built a dynasty team. I'm with you, I'd like to see Andy Reid finally get a ring, but I have to admit, San Fran looks like a team that's built to win for the next several years. But, then again, so does KC.

+1 on the first bit. I don't have any hate for Kyle, I'd just rather see Reid win his first. Kyle will have more opportunities down the road.

And screw the 49ers too! I dumped my 49er fandom when I left Cali 10 years ago. Love to see Andy Reid get a Super Bowl win. Reid has the most wins for an NFL coach without a championship, time to pass that torch to someone else.

Damn right!! Brian Mitchell is pulling for Andy Reid, loves him and says he reminds him of Joe Gibbs. He knows, having played for both.

Kansas City definitely cannot afford the slow starts that they got off to against Houston and Tennessee. They do that against the 49ers they will be finished.

I thought it was interesting how Spanos and co. basically shit on their starting qb of the last 15 years. I know Rivers wasn't no Brady/etc. but to do him dirty like that reflects poorly on them.

Excited, this is a really good match up. Only possible route to a blow out I see is if 9ers get down by double digits early.

Jimmy G is the only unproven element to me. Can he be clutch with the game on the line?

Should be an awesome game.

I have zero rooting interest, just hoping for a good game. Reid probably locks up the HOF with a win.

I think Reid is a HoFer even without this win (especially when Bud Grant and Marv Levy are in) but a win Sunday makes him a first ballot HoF lock.

Re: Super Bowl week: around the NFL

I think the strength of SF is that pass rush but Mahomes's mobility negates it to some extent. San Fran lost to the Ravens earlier this year, they just couldn't get to Lamar Jackson enough, he escaped too many times. I think they have trouble on the back end dealing with Mahomes and his speedy receivers when the scramble drill is on. It's just too much to deal with.

I got KC 30 - 27
